Please share: I am trying to protect my team that is expecting to be dismissed imminently. I will be sharing bios and LinkedIn Profiles for Project Management, Communications, Technical Writing, Admins, Counsel, Budget, & Procurement. Decades of public & private experience.

Hey @repjohnnyo.bsky.social @alsobrooks.senate.gov @vanhollen.senate.gov @govwesmoore.bsky.social any quick-turnaround jobs for the 20k Department of Health and Human Services RIFs that are being sent out? My severance isn't going to cover my mortgage in this state very long!

It took 2 Orioles games for me to get tired of the same handful of promos they show on MLB.tv between innings.

Well at least the O’s are hitting dingers. Colton and Westy are bae.

Today is an awful day but baseball is back.

@natalieaja.bsky.social I have to get up too early to watch live tv now, but I listen to the Daily Show podcast on my commute. Paul Rudd was the guest last night. I laughed hard at 5 AM and thought of you. Very funny bit.

Doom scrolling is great right now because The Doom is always fresh. It used to be The Doom would get stale after a day or 2 but now the horrors are unending 😊

The monster in Chapter 5 of Monster Hunter Wilds is mean.

I am so tired and I really don't want to get up at 4AM every day but here we are. Silver Lining: My signed copy of the new Japanese Breakfast album was at my house when I got home 12 hours later.

My favorite part about my new hobby is how much time job applications take to never hear back from. Or the part where the posting gets cancelled because the private industry position I applied to was partially funded by federal grants which are now dead.

@repjohnnyo.bsky.social since the senate folded and didn’t stand up for oversight, will you have a coalition working to find jobs for your constituents in District 2? Lot of qualified people who pay taxes in the State / County are about to lose their income. Who/what will help them survive?

I would like one day without bad news so that I can just enjoy something. Things are rough right now. Keep Win-win in your thoughts! PS she is the cutest pizza bagel.

@alsobrooks.senate.gov @vanhollen.senate.gov Seeing as your colleagues don’t care to protect federal employees, what are your plans to support them? This state cannot handle the waves of unemployment we are about to have.

Reposting. I have folks in multiple states with multiple backgrounds.

Me, after getting up at 4AM to commute to work: I’m going to bed at like 730. Also me: doesn’t even get close to getting in bed til 9. My nose: Freak nosebleed good now or nah?

@gameovergreggy.bsky.social I listened to the Gregway about Late Night with Greg on my morning commute and had my youth flood back to me. LBC stuck in my head all day! What a banger.

Playing Monster Hunter with @tayhoov.bsky.social, I learned that there were not lots of weird blob monsters, but rather I had no-no-spider-bad mode turned on. I’m so wise.

We want the bureaucrats to be traumatically affected … When they wake up in the morning, we want them to not want to go to work, because they are increasingly viewed as the villains. We want their funding to be shut down … We want to put them in trauma.” - Head of US Office of Management and Budget

First time Monster Hunter player. I am horrible. I don’t have the words to explain how lost I am with the systems and controls. I have no idea why I chose this game as my “I’m gonna learn how to play with keyboard and mouse” game. Anyway there was a big spider. Was because I killed it. I rule.

Me and my bird-friend forever.

I highly recommend grabbing all of the #18F Content you can while it is still available. Content Guide: guides.18f.gov/content-guid... Methods: guides.18f.gov/methods/

Reminder that today is an economic blackout. Don't buy from chains or big box stores! However! You are still encouraged to shop at local and small businesses, and you can, of course, still buy medicine, food and emergency supplies. Good explainer here: www.npr.org/2025/02/27/n...

I absolutely must say that I am very tired and that if you need a project manager/sop author/technical writer/instructional designer/contract administrator, I might know a person looking for a role. I’d also be open to wearing fewer hats.

I’m pretty sure that if I could harness the my own anxiety from the last few few weeks of work I would never have to pay a utility bill again. Scientists, can we invent a stress powered turbine?
