Our president does not know the difference between Harvard and Harlem. Shouldn't his obvious dementia be a matter of front-page coverage?

Today's newsletter: How the Abrego Garcia tattoo dispute reveals Trump's broader strategy of demanding that media validate his preferred reality. www.readtpa.com/p/just-say-y...

This should be played on loop endlessly in the 2026 campaign season. Every GOP candidate should be tagged with this message. The GOP likes to call everything they don't like Marxism. Note that this message is the Marxist perspective on consumerism. Who's the Marxist now?

Please highlight this story. ICE stormed into the wrong house, trashed the place, and made women/girls stand outside in the rain in their underwear. ICE also stole phones, laptops, and cash savings from the family, who moved to OKC two weeks ago. kfor.com/news/local/w...

I have been (slowly) migrating my artwork from Instagram to Pixelfed (I am not using Meta products anymore). This one has gotten the most response of the ones I have moved over so far: pixelfed.social/p/Boring_Per...

I would like to formally offer to buy Chrome for... [busy hurriedly counting change from under the sofa cushions] ok, that is probably not going to be enough. Never mind.

Movie you've watched more than six times using gifs. ("Hard mode" no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LoTR)

“No one is above the law.” If only the Supreme Court believed that. They enabled one particular set of nitwits to rely entirely on their being above the law.

Wow. Just... wow.

unfollowing everyone on linkedin except this guy

It is amazingly naive of this guy to think that it helps Tesla’s brand image to have Musk become more active as their CEO. He’s still a nazi. I sold my Teslas because of him, and wouldn’t consider buying from them again unless he was kicked out and publicly repudiated by the company. Even then…

I have been referring to the MAGA movement as fascist for years, and most people simply hear it as a thoughtless insult. That is not how I am using the word, though. If you look at what the word means, "fascist" fits the MAGA movement like a glove.

Here is a short post I wrote about AI and earlier forms of technology. www.linkedin.com/pulse/ai-int...

I am genuinely curious whether Marco Rubio is self-aware enough to understand that his own actions in deporting those he disagrees with are the exact opposite of what he is saying here. Is this just dishonesty on his part? Or has he contorted his thinking so much that he really cannot see this?

Any lawyer who couldn’t see that these deals would go exactly this way is not a good lawyer. I would never hire a firm that stupidly walked into this kind of trap.

The idea that falling birthrates is an existential problem is based on the same mistake that so many Silicon Valley dimwits make on so many issues: they assume a line on a graph will continue moving in the same direction, without any reflection about what will inevitably change the trajectory.

It's genuinely hard to express to sort of normal not politically plugged in non-lawyers *how* lawless the Trump administration is, and I think that's some part of the problem. You sound like you're hyperventilating, but it's just a flat description of what is going on.

We've reached the point in our descent into fascism where the Jewish governor's house getting firebombed on Passover by a guy trying to bash his head in with a sledgehammer is overshadowed by the story of the President saying he wants to build foreign gulags for US citizens.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is to have to admit that Harvard, of all schools, has done the right thing here. It just feels icky to say something positive about Harvard.

I forget — is today supposed to be a “stocks way up” day or a “stocks way down” day?

I have been working on a software project for a few years, which helps me to create abstract images based on photographs (no AI is involved). This is an image using a watercolor-type effect that I have been working on. The image is of trees reflected in water. #art #digitalart #abstractart

This is a good observation. The nitwits in charge of our government tend to call everything they don’t like Marxism. But what they are doing to the country right now *is* literally Marxism.

I just want to say that in this trade war against the penguins, I am 100% on the side of the penguins.

The twenty-fifth amendment, it's a beautiful amendment, people don't talk about it much anymore. Twenty-fifth amendment. A president's dementia goes through the roof, and it's an old-fashioned thing that I am bringing back, the twenty-fifth amendment.

Lando's leadership of Cloud City in The Empire Strikes Back turned out to be a tragically prescient parable for our time. Leaders of institutions: Pay attention! A story in four parts. cc: Paul Weiss, Columbia University bcc: all law firms, universities, and civil society organizations

You have to understand that they hate you. Yes you, the educated liberal or leftist reading this on educated lib-left dot com. They took away AIDS medication from children for the specific purpose of making this video to trigger you. Triggering you is the goal and they will murder children to do it.

"There is one obvious problem with the prospect of the Supreme Court allowing Trump to move forward with his authoritarian project: The justices themselves could pay the high price of discarding what is left of their own already impaired legitimacy."
