Fun fact: The novel Guns of the South is about about white supremacist Afrikaners traveling in time to help the confederacy win the Civil War. The book was inspired by the fact that a psychotic Nazi Afrikaner trying to destroy American democracy used to be an idea so insane that it required magic.
