Very interesting documentary that came out last year. To fellow fans, a lot of what we already knew. But some fascinating insights into the lives and past experiences of the crews behind the movies. From ex journalists to a cameraman who was one of the first to enter Auschwitz on liberation. Good 👍🏼

Currently in production. Hammer’s new project starring Luke Hemsworth. A 19th century piece. Watch this space….

80 years ago today this place was liberated. You honestly won’t believe it until you see it for yourself trust me. Are we learning from history?…Never forget 🕯️

My daughter has talked a lot today about our holiday In Disneyland for Halloween last year. Got me going back through the photos. Such a very happy week we had a blast! I think the Mickey hairband should be a permanent fixture what do you think? 🐭

Friday nights have changed 😂❤️

I honestly can’t describe how ecstatic I was to be invited by Hammer Films to a 50th anniversary screening of Captain Kronos in Newcastle tonight. Plenty of fans of the company and met some great people. Fantastic evening so very grateful ❤️🦇🧛.

Album of the day. King of America by Elvis Costello. My dad’s main man. Saw him live over 20 times from 1977 until the year I lost him 2016. My personal favourite album of his. Quite simply a masterpiece. Some heavy nostalgia attached to this record for me ❤️

Nice little quiz in this month’s Empire magazine 🧛

Album of the day. I can be accused of bias as this man is my hero. Very lucky last year to see him live for the 14th time in my life. But for me, this album is a masterpiece. Storytelling at its finest. A song is never skipped on this record…Hell of an artist 🔥

Continued..Also, one of the greatest opening scenes of a Hammer film ❤️

Taken on the set of Dracula A.D 1972. Cushing returns after a long hiatus due to the death of his wife Helen. C Lee was far from pleased about the film. He thought the character dulled for Hammer’s will to bring him into the present day. But he did state having his old friend back was a highlight.

This evening’s viewing. Released in between Dracula (1957) and Dracula: Prince of Darkness (1966). Another solid Van Helsing from Peter Cushing and great direction from, in my opinion, Hammer’s finest director Terence Fisher. A brilliant, brilliant horror film 🧛👍🏼🍷

A Hammer classic! Christopher Lee is brilliant even without one piece of dialogue from him.

Very excited for this release! 50th year anniversary and a must have for other Hammer fans and collectors. 🦇

So it would seem whenever Elon Musk speaks, it’s like a 9 hour wait in a hospital waiting room…But apparently if social media was around during the Third Reich, the atrocities wouldn’t have happened. X by any chance? What a first class nob.

Just as strong as the first in my opinion. Great performances, original score and production. Think they will both stand the test of time 👏👏

Playing through Last of Us Part 2 for the umpteenth time…played through Part 1 again for the umpteenth time. Surely it’s time for my next Cordyceps fix soon @druckmann.bsky.social ?? 😉 🍄‍🟫

A brisk and breezy South Shields day 😊

Album of the day. I was very lucky to see Simon & Garfunkel in 2003. Since then Paul 3 times and Art twice. Managed to meet Art after the show as well a great memory! This record is a firm favourite of mine out of their 5 studio albums.

Horror factoid..John Carpenter had a different casting vision for Halloween (1978). His 1st choice as Dr. Loomis was Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee was his 2nd. Cushing (rather surprisingly) was never approached. Lee turned it down. He regretted it, but did not want more horror sequels to his name.

One of the boys gained his fur wings today. Sleep well my little dude. The “bestest friend” my little girl could have asked for. Thanks for the years Reggie, one of our first little ones ❤️🐈‍⬛

Daughter date. Matilda is a big fan of Muffin break apparently ❤️

Obligatory post. Hope other Hammer fans out there got a good haul this year. Wine and chocolates are imminent 🎄🎅🏻🍷🍻🧛

Merry Christmas all! 🎅🏻🍻🍷🎄

Love you 3,000 ❤️

Northern Lights Christmas in Newcastle. Very festive 🎄

A night through the week when the cat didn’t move at all. Comfy there dude?
