I thought the right description of what is happening in America is an assault. Correction: It is a violent rape and bloody murder of our democratic foundations, a treasonous slap in the face to our allies, and a traitorous blow to everyday Americans who held high hopes democracy would survive.

If my boss got his friend to fire people at a work place he is not employed nor contracted - are those people actually fired? I think not. So why is Elon Musk who isn’t a legal administrator with DOGE and has “no actual or formal authority to make decisions” able to fire anyone? DOGE is dodgy.
