Granted this requires people to be willing to type that out in a constructive and nice way, but I usually like to do so when I see someone fully lost in the sauce. And some kind randos did it for me when I started, so it feels nice to do it back

I both agree and disagree. Conceptually yes, but there's so much shit the game still just doesn't tell you that is much easier learned by word of mouth (cleaving hits, when to aoe, what markers mean, etc) The fact that the new tutorial stuff can't be accessed until Praetorium is insane btw

Yeah that's real. I play a lot of rando, and any time I gotta do like a data fight or something without them I'm just

Kh2 is pretty fun because the damage floor and scaling are in place, and help break through the chip damage issue. Any other game in the series can fuck off with all that tho, they feel pretty miserable

Nah the ddr mech is one of the best in the game, especially when you swap places with someone mid mech like my friends and I do

It's one of my favorite nostalgia games, very bare bones and a bit clunky but it's so endearing and fun. Very of-the-area in tone and style

i'm so checked out after her being the annual "ohhhh a sewing challenge? but i can't sewwwwww :(" queen. i do appreciate a genuine villain tho, fun to root against someone unabashedly

Also it's downtime, so you don't have any other buttons to hit. Strats that require/highly recommend sprint in uptime are annoying for this reason, but you have no other weaves or actions to do here, just mash it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The aoes become instantly irrelevant once you realize "hit sprint and hold forward as soon as the cast/my personal aoe is gone." After like an hour our group never got a damage down again, and we have people with not great connections. It looks way scarier than it is, much like a lot of this fight

He also had a fun spell to charge the super meter, that was pretty fun. When I played through with my brothers we kept him around for love of the game because he was so delightful and silly, but he was pretty underwhelming as a fighter by the end. Any time he swapped in we'd go "ayyy Tomkeeee"

It's a banger tbh, really enjoyed my time with that game. You can def break it in half towards the end as with most turn-based rpgs, but it was a great time all the way through. Plus there's a blue mage type character who is delightful and goofy

Like e8s :)

Dawg you need more than healer shield and rep for aa, I had a pf run as ast where I put up neutral shield and sun sign, and the sage did kera, panhaima and shields, and most of the party died by about 10k. Healers just need to put shields on the ice transistion, that plus kera and rep is liveable

i'm also seeing most people on the internet are not in agreement with me so i might be on some needlessly hater energy. idk, i just walked out of the theatre feeling very ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ about it

i wish i could be pumped about it, i left feeling very middling on it. some solid stuff, some banger moments, but i didn't love a lot of it :/

this is what i'd do if i found myself with high meter, full manafication and both sets of finishers under buff. in EW, i'd try to go into burst with no more than like 75/75 or else i'd overcap iirc. i don't play much differently now tbh, meter management is way easier imo youtu.be/_sFg9NZjku0?...

actually my math was wrong, you finish the 2nd melee combo and have 65/75 ish, but point being overcapping does not happen at all
comment in response to post
but if you use manafication after the first 3 melee hits, you get the buffed finishers and then the free melee at about 70/70, and when you finish the second combo you should be back around 80-90 on both without overcap.
comment in response to post
how are you overcapping? you only need the meter to do one melee combo, then use manafication to give you the second. it was more common to overcap in EW because manafication gave you the meter for a second melee combo, but now it give you a buff for a free melee combo
