@mrrexpatrick.bsky.social If taxpayers put that much money into #Whyalla, surely it will be nationalised. It would be a solid ongoing money-producing asset for the State. BHP spent $1 billion on purchasing WMC and all its global assets, surely for $2.4B, Whyalla stays with the taxpayers? #Auspol
