Food banks are going to be bad for the next 4 years. Donating money isn't the best way to help. Consider volunteering. I started picking up groceries in my Chevy Bolt EUV on the weekends. This way, they don't have to spend money using an old van. These things help and save money from being spent.

I pack my lunch for work, and while that saves money, I think lunch meat prices are a little ridiculous. My point is that you have options! Tuna salad is still pretty cheap to make. Rotisserie chicken is also cheap and makes a great chicken salad. #SaveYourMoney #2ndTrumpRecession

I volunteer at the local food bank, but I still felt guilty not helping people. I have donated plenty of blood. Donating wouldn't create any new economic activity and there's a blood shortage. If you donate platelets, you're a saint! There are incentives for both.

As Trump's second recession starts, I had to buy something used (no sales tax to my red state & no money for the economy). The person ended up being a Trump supporter based on the bumper sticker, but much respectful more than most. It's a shame that a lying criminal has hurt this country so badly.

Today is the first time that I've spent money on something that I can technically do without since Trump became president. It's inevitable, but I was able to buy it used for far less than the original price. You also avoid sales tax that way, and I'm in a "red" state.

My homeowners insurance went up 25% and since it's taken out of my mortgage payment, I was lucky that I noticed it. I changed my policy today. That company still has the best offer. Watch out for surprises like that! AT&T did a similar stealthy price change. I switched off of them very quickly.

2 tips to save even on the essentials so the people who are drunk on power don't benefit. 1 thing I knew & 1 thing I learned. 1) Ice tea is incredibly cheap when you brew it yourself. 2) Bouillon cubes are much cheaper than broth in a carton. Both are simple & better for the environment.
