When you go away for some winter sun but end up having to put the heating on. The Mediterranean giving off some North Sea vibes today.

The French influence means you are never far from a bakery in Tunisia. The two pain au chocolat and harissa bread (highly recommended) came to £1.25 this morning.

Wow, todays front page from the Mail. Possibly the only time I’ve ever agreed with our most right wing newspaper. No way should we allow this pro Putin administration into our country.

Cats of Sousse.

Turns out the carton of milk we purchased in a Tunisian supermarket is yoghurt. The perils of not speaking French or Arabic and just guessing…

Our Airbnb in Tunisia for the next few days is very acceptable. Nice to sit on the balcony and feel the sun on our faces. The locals are well wrapped up in puffer jackets.

My day off so spent a bit of time making a veggie moussaka. Very nice!

A last minute Sunday afternoon dash to the Peak District. Not really left the house for a month, so decided to banish the cabin fever with a camp on the moors. A steely grey sky and close to freezing, the wind has a real bite to it. Hoping that a bit brighter in the morning.

The incessant grey of February is accentuated by the drabness of inner City Nottingham.

Question Time last night was pretty fierce. And had to be. There's a deliberate effort now to shift the ground: towards appeasement, inhumanity and authoritarianism. Once more, we must resist it. We must fight hard for kindness. www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m...

The @Telegraph excels itself today with the claim that @NaturalEngland is ‘ideologically wedded to concept of conservation’. This is our job, & we do it as a matter of legal requirement. Would be odd for a conservation organisation to do anything else. www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/02...
