Celebrated the release of my new book with friends and family last night, and it was truly a wonderful gift to have people from all corners of my life gather in one room.

I agree, taking covert pictures of strangers on public transport is pretty cooked

A lot of the problem with this is the cut-down version of ChatGPT that OpenAI gives to people who don't subscribe (suggested by the model being listed as "ChatGPT" rather than the specific model), so it is clearly not doing web tool calls to actually look at the links that are being provided.

I understand the thought process behind this, but how do you put your hand out for compensation for theft that you can't quantify or prove?

The greatest sport in the world

If the Dems had any sense they would counter this with "A Sharpie is not a pen"

Yeah not falling for this again. Last time I bought day 3 tickets for the day/night in Adelaide and saw 1 hour of shit cricket

Fuck, I thought Dexter was a documentary 😭

using "landlord" to mean "person with labor i'd like to steal" is some serious "every accusation is a confession" shit

It’s finally announced: I got an awesome new gig as the co-host on the Great Australian Bake-Off lol. This was so much fun to film and completely surreal and they let me keep the cardigan

Post a female character you love

“Was it all bullshit?” Trump asked aides. I love that even Trump, the king of bullshitters, eventually realized that Musk had been bullshitting him on DOGE. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

When these blokes are telling you the state of Israel is wrong you need to listen. Shows just how out of touch @albomp.bsky.social is from being on the just side of the Gaza conversation. No more mealy mouthing and kowtowing to Israel, Albo. Time for action. #auspol #gaza

For David McBride to have the access he had, he likely had Top Secret clearance. Breaking that level of security clearance has consequences, despite the feelpinions of his supporters. There isn't a "protecting possible war criminals" carve-out of our national security laws, and nor should there be.

it sucks when people do things purely through their hatred of "TRUMP?"

In normal times, DOJ wins most of its cases because it has the resources to ensure that presidential actions are lawful. But under Trump, the Department is run by a sycophantic election denying enabler. The result is DOJ's credibility with judges is in tatters and it is losing case after case.

“Mr President, any comment on the rumour that the Wall Street guys are saying that not only are you a chicken, they also say you are a giant wimp?”

It's reacted like this because "is it 2025?" is a fairly imprecise question. We instinctively know what that question means, but to the model, it isn't certain what "it" is. It's stupid, but explainable.

Didn't they already say he had left?

His name is "Booker" and people are surprised???

This has become my favourite educational body horror channel youtu.be/rLx1bI5wfGY?...

I’m not totally against gas projects being extended, we do need it to some degree at least for the foreseeable future, but they should be paying through the ass for it.

Incredible. Last year a Collingwood player KOed an opponent into retirement, no punishment, wins the grand final. Causes the AFL to crack down on head injuries. Then it happens to a Port player and the commentary has landed on "maybe it was actually his fault".

I asked ChatGPT to show me a picture of the President of Star Wars and it gave me this

They are going to pardon the guy that bashed Nancy Pelosi's husband with a hammer, aren't they? www.rawstory.com/trump-s-pard...

Brb heading to Harvard to do a Bachelor of Plumbing, majoring in septic tanks

You can commit crime in America now as long as the boss gets his piece.

so, did I miss much? It's been a bit over a month at St Vincents' Hospital for fairly major head surgery, and then some rehab time at Sacred Heart - I've been discharged and am home again. Lots of outpatient stuff and a whole lot of medication still to come, of course.

This really is the mob boss presidency, complete with shakedowns

Ex-Meta spinner (+ former UK dep prime minister) Nick Clegg's claim that asking permission to train on data would "kill" AI is not a serious idea — it's about scaring a country into a global race-to-the-bottom for regulations. @thesizzle.com.au thesizzle.com.au/p/a...

people get mad at me when I say this but it's a Serious Problem for bluesky's long-term viability that the userbase actively tries to bully people they don't like off here

So... why does he have tariffs on textiles then?
