first post on here, decided to show you my painting of #pearto which im very proud of

I did the boss-level of #StreetPhotography. ULF camera in right hand, tripod in left, 914mm (!) lens in backpack, and the imaging device on a shoulder strap. Roaming range: 300m max.

High-contrast B&W edit for 16x16" ultra #LargeFormat self-portrait #Photography. Abracam with rehoused Bell & Howell 36" lens. Approximately f/7 aperture.

I was deeply honored to meet President Zelensky via Zoom when he asked me to become an ambassador for UNITED24 to raise funds for surveillance drones. I'm proud to have walked this road with @u24.gov.ua to support the sovereign nation of 🇺🇦 & so grateful to all who have donated! 🙏❤️👍 #SlavaUkraine

The rehousing of the Bell&Howell 36" aerial reconnaissance lens is complete. I had my doubts, but damn... IT WORKED! (Sample images at end of video.) Ultra #LargeFormat #Photography. youtu.be/wmh5UaYbrew

The forever-correct way to translate Canadian parties to other countries without using their politics for reference

“You should not let poets lie to you.”

Final round of "Micro Masters Holland." Billed on the wall-poster as "National competition for the young computer enthusiast." My entry: Darting Score Board that keeps track, but also tells you what score is needed to finish. Coded for Sinclair ZX Spectrum 8-bit micro computer.

Pop Quiz! This is a.... Ⓐ Camera Ⓑ Air Defence Cannon Ⓒ Röntgen Radiator Ⓓ Deep Sky Observer I love my vintage Majestic geared tripod, built for heavy loads. #LargeFormat #VintageLens #Liesegang

Just published my first math paper! What a journey! youtu.be/zVRNcRFaZ94

1950s Liesegang 28cm episcope lens... A lens so soft and full of aberrations, that we are now firmly into #Lomography territory. Still, it has... je ne sais quoi. The bokeh smears are different from any other lens. As if the background was rendered in coloured sand.

From the June 18, 1973 edition of the Vancouver Sun:

I've given a 1950s Liesegang 28cm f/3.7 a new purpose in life. After decades of being dormant, it now projects images again (for Ultra #LargeFormat #Photography) It's nice to have a wide-angle lens for the Abracam; sharpness and contrast lacking, but it renders like a painting! youtu.be/VX0AZYSEDfo

My first #LargeFormat soviet lens. (I also have a Medium Format Arsat Fisheye.) It performs pretty well (I did miss focus by a smidge.) Триплет 365mm f/3.65 (originally for episcopic projection.) #Photography.

Sadly, cellphones have forever destroyed this concept. It would only work if the pit has a zero-tolerance cellphone ban. Simpler times.

914mm (!) lens with its lock ring rusted shut. I feel like a genius for designing and making my one-off tooling to fix that. Ultra #LargeFormat #Photography.

Widescreen got so entrenched in monitor design, that my fujifilm #GFX50R gets confused by a 4:3 monitor. The LCD on the GFX50R is 1024x768, so I got a monitor with that exact native resolution. It would be the simplest null conversion imaginable for the camera, and yet: squashed with black bars.

I'm building a deeper camera-back for my ultra #largeformat Abracam. This effectively is the equivalent of a macro-extension tube, as it allows me to focus at closer subjects (when the helicoid is already at its maximum extension.) Photographed with Oude Delft 400mm f/6.3 lens, 1s exposure.

I mounted a 19th century lens (Butcher & Son Rapid Rectilinear) on my ultra #LargeFormat camera. So much fun! It is vignetting on my 40x40cm Abracam, but happy with the results. youtu.be/vr4lOiFSKxc
