Remember how great it was when you were a baby dragon and you came across statues of adult dragons and head butting them would set them free and they’d be super grateful. I miss that whimsy in my life.

Yesterday - the first cheat day of the current weight loss effort - the mini-fillets in my KFC smelt like the “crispy strips” they used to sell when I was a kid, and the coating was extra crunch like that too! ‘Twas an immediate throwback to my nan and grandad taking me there as a treat as a kid!

I often worry I don’t spend enough time at work first hand coding anymore. Solving a client’s urgent go-live issue by diving into abstract framework code and determining which (seemingly very unrelated to the problem) configuration needed adjusting promises those skills are still there.

Very excited for the return of The Traitors! My favourite bit: a player suspects someone, makes up incentives the traitors must have based on nothing, uses that to confirm the suspect is a traitor, presents it to the group as irrefutable “facts and evidence”, gets a faithful evicted and is shocked 🤯

This holiday break I finally sat down and played Journey and I absolutely loved it! It showed off how deliberate lighting and camera work can imply where to go and what to investigate without needing words. Early on it is so joyous every time you get something “right” #indie #gaming
