Interesting study re viral persistence. HIV+ people taking letermovir for CMV suppression showed improvement in CD4 cell count & CD4/CD8 ratio, esp women. Sara Gianelle Weibel calls it “most exciting intervention done in people with HIV for inflammation & aging in last 20 years.” #CROI2025
