I reckon attack ads are a pretty solid barometer of how much pressure a candidate is putting on the parties I’m interested to see how candidates like Peter George in Franklin go in the count. PS glad they didn’t get any farmed salmon with those chips!

They (@communityindeps.bsky.social) are right. Democracy only thrives when it’s challenged. People only get a choice when SOMEONE stands up. 38 communities stood up for themselves in 2025. Whatever the individual results, all 38 are better off because they challenged the status quo.

A legal stoush has erupted on Kew High Street just now after Boroondara Council enforced its directive: one sign per candidate on public land. Everyone complied except the Liberals who are refusing and have called in lawyers, leaving their signs all over the public footpath.
