This is a topic I have tried to push for years. Kids have a right to move around on our roads exactly the same as licensed drivers. You don't need a licenses to ride your bike in the street and yet cities do little to protect youth who need to use our roads.

As E-powered personal mobility use grows our bike lane infra needs to grow with it. Traditional 3-5' wide bike lanes are not sufficient and should be expanded to carry the variety of traffic and speeds. The old standards aren't keeping up.

I've pointed this out before, as low speed personal mobility become more popular the space required for them to operate needs to expand. The problem isn't E-bikes, its the substandard bike lane width that doesn't accommodate fast and slow movers. Take more space from cars.

There is a lot of chatter about Hansen's comment in during yesterday's press briefing that "2ºC is dead" To get on a 2ºC pathway emissions *must* fall by 5.5% in 2025. Then the same needs to happen in 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029 & 2030. Here is the UNEP's estimate on exceeding 2ºC👇🏻 ie "2ºC is dead"
