This is a really good thread. When the people running a country truly believe that the laws don't apply to them, then the laws lose their meaning and society is only held together by brute force.

Agreed. The GOP SCOTUS (1) stayed the district court's order, preventing it from finding contempt when it inevitably comes out the Trump admin did not even try to return Garcia; (2) issued a word salad designed to create more delays and litigation, despite the obvious illegality and danger at hand.

A proposed Arkansas bill would impose civil liability on a person who "knowingly contributes" to the "social transitioning" of a minor (i.e. changing their pronouns, clothing, or hairstyle). You would be liable for at least $10,000 just for letting your kid change their appearance. Insanity.
