As annoying as the "social media site (fill in the blank) is a bubble" is, I'm still flabbergasted at times at the take machine that is the joint couple Facebook account.

VCU dunking on George Mason like they're dealing with GMU's econ professors.

My mom helped run a Social Security field office for most of my childhood. The population that these locations serve is overwhelmingly disabled, elderly, poor or some combination thereof. That’s who they’re looking to deny services and resources.

Totally get why folks are promoting "but nothing" days, not just the issues that might be part of capitalism, but I'm also just annoyed at the monotony of the shopping mall experience.

Grothman had to outdo Duey Strobel in winning over the Wisconsin talk radio crowd to get this seat.

TBH, I'd rather deal with the Nick Saban AirBnB from the commercial than Thomas Chatterton Williams' Vrbo or whatever these words are

We see them slide the puck inside, it's a 1-1 hockey game...oh the good old hockey game...sing along if you want

We're gonna have to find our inner Tom Wilson, aren't we?

Yinka DARE: remember some guys, not drugs.

Betting it will be a rough night for Wichita if they have a Newman on the roster.

This first Weekend Update character appearance is a choice.

They have enough of those "SNL 50" bumpers, and I'm gonna wait just in case they break out a "TV Fun house" cartoon.

Fun how they can put a double entendre or three in the Lawrence Welk sketch when the first show would never. #SNL50

This is not easy. Too many people have no firsthand experience with: Ravages of childhood diseases Summer days with thick air pollution Rivers on fire with industrial waste I remember Kepone poisoning the James River. In Pennsylvania? Google "Donora smog". Republicans want us to go back there.

Me, a mid-40e guy watching the first SNL last night: Cool, a piece of television history. Hypothetically watching this as a 40-something in 1975: George Carlin didn't burn anything down, the music was good, but what was up with that guy who was singing along to "Mighty Mouse"?

That was good hockey, let's see a rematch Thursday night.

Electric goal from McDavid

Gotta move the rematch to Johnstown/Charlestown, the spirit of Eddie Shore is in the building tonight in Montreal

Hey look what happens when just enough 3s fall, Hoos get the win at Cassell, even as VT kept closing in the whole second half.

Finland in OT!

News Nation incessantly being promoted during ACC hoops on the CW has me missing the old Natural Light beer ads, or even the guy who ran Food Lion pitching groceries.

Slept in until 9, that was good because that way I didn't see the hot garbage that qualifies as editorial content until 11.

Roses are red Violets are blue

if I were writing stories about the gov "firing thousands of probationary workers" I would probably rewrite as "firing thousands of new hires -- who are often on a status called "probation" --" because I think the general understanding of "probation" is "in trouble for something they did"

Begrudgingly respecting the conference rival from South Bend.

Wouldn't even trust the Senator from Iowa with a Dairy Queen franchise:

wrote about trump's bullshit architecture executive order for @thenation.com www.thenation.com/article/cult...

Not exaggerating when I say I would like a personal, handwritten apology from every pundit who barfed out a dozen "the left wants to change the way you talk!" op-eds based on non-mandatory guidelines in obscure PDFs.

Learned League opening day, no forfeits, no cheating, Let's Go

30 years from now, there will be an NFL Films clip dramatically announcing that Mahomes TD pass, conveniently downplaying that it was 40-14 or something by that point.

Hey, it's the Detroiters guys for Torino's

Makes sense, they finally break out the Hall and Oates with the Birds up big.

All Barry Sanders needed was a can of Vernors during that 1-800-Call Sam ad to complete the Michigan bingo card during the local break

KC should have tried the bit where they kept jumping off sides until they got a warning.

The Dunkin ad with Belichick and company roasting a green-clad "rival" had a scene that at least looked like a warmed over Letterkenny bit

My statement on USAID:
