Lrt-- people seem to have a naive view of how much animation costs.. the reason it costs millions is because the budget must cover the salary, distribution, AND advertising. Let's say the minimum wage is 50k/year, you have 20 ppl working for a year, that's ONE MILLION alone on JUST production!

mccarthyism, or the red scare, was basically a sort of... deliberate pruning out of literally anyone who could be considered too leftist, it was brutal. People were fired and eschewed from their friends/family/community just to avoid the association with them. it's why the US is so far right imho
