I’m not generally a fan of misgendering people but I think if you voted in favor of allowing people to be misgendered because you don’t like trans people existing, you really don’t any room to complain when someone does it to you.

I want a reply all fiasco that brings us to the brink of nuclear war.

What food argument do you feel really strongly about but admit you’d have problems defending rationally? Mine is that to be called fried chicken, it has to have the bone in it. If there’s no bone, it’s a nugget or a tender, no matter how it’s prepared.

I’m getting a little obsessed with making these. Tried a thinner yarn and tighter stitch this time.

The last time I remember someone being called the king of New York it was John Gotti and he died in prison, so, you know, fingers crossed.

More stories like this, please.

Here’s my second attempt. Used some cardboard to firm up the sides and bottom.

I have decided to read Hoskins’s reply as if King Lear were a video game and no one can stop me.

My corollary to this is that you don’t really understand something until you have to explain/teach it to someone else, but you can’t explain it unless you’ve done the deep dive first.

True dat

My whole life when other people told me Social Security wouldn’t be there when I retired, I thought they just meant the government would be bankrupt. I had no idea it meant a broke-dick wannabe edgelord desperate for the adoration of teenage boys was going to steal it all.

Windsor Heights and its speed trap, no-sidewalks ass.

Along with hearing from the airline CEOs whose businesses will be potentially harmed by this, I’d also like to hear from insurance companies who might have to pay out some big settlements when Musk’s AI starts telling planes they can all land at the same time.

Everyone in the Trump coalition voted for someone to get got. Most of them didn’t realize that they were that someone to someone else.

I’m getting a little bit of a late start. What shithousery does the government have for us today?

Why did I crochet a dumpster fire last night? Oh, no reason.

I think I’m just going to make every comment I send to my Senators and Representative some version of “why y’all gotta be assholes?”

Where are the CEOs of @deltaairline.bsky.social @americanair.bsky.social @unitedairlinesual.bsky.social @jetblue2.bsky.social ? They’re good with this. Where are the leaders of business?

One way might be to show what it was like before government intervention. What did our skies and rivers look like before the EPA? How many more people died in car accidents before mandated safety changes in cars? Advances in tech are often driven by regulations.

New post: This week, Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird & her staff lied repeatedly about a federal lawsuit Iowa joined, which could blow up Section 504 protections for people with disabilities. Just heard that Drake University in Des Moines is considering changing its name to K. Dot U.
