I seem to be one of the few people who loves that Wes Anderson films keep getting more Wes Anderson-ish. Love the aesthetic, love the play-like sets, love the quirky characters. Phoenician Scheme took time to grab me but once it did I was sold. Adored the ending especially.

Hey readers, looks like most of my books are at least half off on Audible right now, including the novellas! Good time to grab some listening material. www.audible.com/author/Brian...

So I *finally* took a closer look at Dune: Awakening, and I hadn't realized they were going full-blown MMO. It looks SO ambitious. Since the Westwood days I'm a sucker for Dune games so I hope it's good.

There are signed copies of all my books at the Barnes and Noble in Murray, UT.

Hey Utah folks, I'll be at the Barnes and Noble in Murray at 4pm today for their Summer Book Fest. Stop by, say hi, get a signed book!

Excited to share the artwork for my next Glass Immortals novella. Release date to come. Huge thanks to Rene Aigner for art and Shawn King for design.

Czech author copies of IN THE SHADOW OF LIGHTNING have arrived!

My cozy fantasy romance Kickstarter just passed $15k!!!! That is funded over *30 times* y'all. 🤯👏🎊 There's only ONE MORE DAY—let's do this: www.kickstarter.com/projects/cas...

Desk.

Thanks to everyone who supported the novella kickstarter! We came in at 360% of goal with over 800 backers. A fantastic success! For those of you who missed it, we'll have the novella on sale on the usual channels in a few months.

I hope the new pope brings back decent chips at Chipotle. He has that authority, right?

Thunderbolts was a ton of fun. All the characters were enjoyable without feeling forced, and while the climax had lots of punching it wasn't *solely* solved by punching.

Last day for this Kickstarter! Don’t miss out on this amazing novella and other cool rewards! #amreading #fantasy #books

Friendly reader friends, we've got just 23 hours left for the Swords, Cider, and Other Distractions. Fifty five more backers for us to match the last novella KS numbers, which would be super cool. I love you all. Except you. You know what you did. www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Hey do I have any fans who work at FB and can help me get my account reinstated? I was hacked last week and they just "permanently disabled" the account because of the activity. As much as I'd love to leave social media behind I still have to make a living.

Hey folks, final few days to back the kickstarter for my new Glass Immortals novella! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Just pledged for @brianmcclellan.bsky.social kickstarter for his new Glass Imortals novella, Swords, Cider, and other Distractions! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri.... Brian is an excellent storyteller and I look forward to diving back into the Glass Imortals universe!

Hey kids, I'm doing an AMA over on /r/fantasy to talk about the new Glass Immortals novella - or other stuff. Come say hi! www.reddit.com/r/Fantasy/co...

Hey guys, my FB got hacked this morning. Nothing I do is letting me back in or helping me recover control. Please don't respond to anything on there. If you're friends with me there, do me a solid and report it as hacked.

Holy shit guys, Sinners is a fantastic movie.

It's Independent Bookstore Day! Drop by Fireside in Redwood City, CA for stickers, bookmarks, a pop up chai bar, and signed copies of my books!

Hey everyone, we're halfway through the KS for my new spinoff novella from IN THE SHADOW OF LIGHTNING. Make sure you support to get your ebook, hardcover, or audiobook early! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

A new novella spinoff of IN THE SHADOW OF LIGHTNING is up on Kickstarter this month. Support to get it early in ebook, hardcover, and audio! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Moonrise had a lot going for it. The action is super cool and the animation is great. It fails to resolve most of the subplots and character relationships, which was kind of frustrating. Like the characters all had a powerful aversion to explaining themselves.

Happy Friday, everyone. If you're a fan of IN THE SHADOW OF LIGHTNING, you should back the new prequel novella I've got up on Kickstarter right now. www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Hey everybody! The new Glass Immortals novella is on Kickstarter. We've already hit our goal, but you'll get it early if you back me over there. Also I get a bigger cut, which is nice. www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Kickstarter is live for my new Glass Immortals novella! www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Hey friends, I've got a little thing coming to Kickstarter next week. www.kickstarter.com/projects/bri...

Hey guys, my epic fantasy debut PROMISE OF BLOOD is currently $2.99 on Amazon (and other platforms). Good time to start the series. Or get a friend to start the series. Or an enemy. Or a stranger. Anyone, really. MAKE THEM READ. amzn.to/4ckBcN0

My first miniature cheesecake.

I'm participating in a panel on writing gods in just a few minutes at the virtual Worldbuilding Con. Come join us! www.youtube.com/watch?v=QT0h...

I'd like to clean out some of my extra foreign editions. They're yours if you pay shipping plus $5. First come, first serve. Ping me with what you'd like from this list.

I'll be at LTUE in Provo this weekend.

For you Utah folk, I'll be at LTUE in Provo this weekend. A few panels and a signing. Will post my schedule tomorrow.

My Civ7 review for those of you thinking of picking it up this week: I'm seven hours in and really enjoying it. Feels like an upgraded Civ6 in all the best ways. Yes, it needs work. No, I probably won't go ham on it until we've gotten some major updates. But Firaxis has long since earned my faith.

What's that? You're complaining about the UI in Civ7? THE GAME HAS NAVIGABLE RIVERS. I've wanted this since I was fourteen, so you can shut up.

There are signed copies of all my books at Fireside Books in Redwood City, CA. Go support a new indie bookstore!

The first two episodes of Common Side Effects were weird and compelling. Darker than I expected. I really liked it.

If you live in Northern California, check out Fireside Books in Redwood City starting this Saturday, February 1st! Tell them Brian sent you - it won't get you anything but it'll make Andrew smile.
