I've been clear: if President Bukele doesn't want to meet here in D.C., then I intend to go to El Salvador this week to check on Kilmar Abrego Garcia's condition and discuss his release. Kilmar was illegally ABDUCTED and deported by the Trump Admin. He must be brought home NOW.

I pray you’ll read my latest. We are being challenged as a nation and this is a test we must pass. open.substack.com/pub/sherrily...

“they are getting rich directly off the market chaos that’s ruining your retirement and gutting your investments” is the kind of shit that makes people very angry

I'm not going to stop saying this. We need to stop calling it "deporting." It may not always be fair or humane, but deportation has a process. And it means you're sent back to where you came from. These people are being trafficked and sold to slave prisons. Not deported.

"I didn't vote for" you did. Sorry. You did. Should have listened to the woke libtards instead of your roided out imaginary friends who told you kids were pooping in kitty litter at school

Tonight we learned that it was indeed Andry, the gay man sent to El Salvador because of his “mom” and “dad” tattoos, who an American journalist saw sobbing as guards slapped him repeatedly and shaved his head. He is an innocent. And Trump sent him to a torture prison. Bring them back!

Due Process does not protect only citizens, or only law-abiding citizens, or only law-abiding people with lawful immigration status It protects people And no matter how much it may upset Stephen Miller and his ilk, immigrants are, in fact, people ballsandstrikes.org/legal-cultur...

If the US invades Greenland, things will never be the same in our lifetime. We will be seen as Nazis and Fascists for the rest of our lives. And make no mistake, they are serious about this.

"Persons being deported may be sent to countries other than their countries of origin" is INSANE

Honestly, I’m already tired of hearing local officials say they’re “saddened” about this. I’m not sad. I want to know WHO WAS IT, AND WHAT WERE THEY DETAINED FOR? Because right now, we can’t be sure it wasn’t for something like having a political belief the administration dislikes. We need to know.

Most clarifying era in politics in America as anything I can recall because it’s so simple: You’re either for this or against. Pick a side.

I want to believe that we’re living in a world where this video will eventually be used to try Noem for her crimes. I don’t know if we’re living in that world.

Unidentified men grabbing someone off the street and putting her in a car because she wrote an op-Ed. This as flatly authoritarian as anything we’ve seen in this country in a very long time.

It’s going fast. Lawyers have to move in unity - law firms, civil rights, law schools, tax lawyers, prosecutors, criminal defense, family law, civil law, immigration. Stand together. Fight for our integrity and our profession.

Thank you Sen. Smith! But it's not just rural hospitals that would get killed. MOST hospitals in MN would be devastated by these cuts. This is going to affect EVERYONE, no matter who is paying for their health care.

The video of Trump’s deportees arriving in El Salvador is horrific. This is 21st century Nazism. Identities concealed, trafficked to a foreign labour camp. No due process, no evidence of crime. Dehumanised. Where is the global outrage? The crime is historic; the normalisation catastrophic.

Based on this fast and excellent WaPo reporting, these four guys are not gang members, just Venezuelan dads who came to the US to work. They’re now being paraded in shackles in El Salvador www.washingtonpost.com/immigration/...

The people Attorney General Bondi is calling “terrorists” have had no trial and no chance to defend themselves. We do not know who they are. Ignoring the Constitution does not make us safe. It puts us all in peril.

Solidarity with Columbia law profs, who are doing what they can. This is a hell of a statement. balkin.blogspot.com/2025/03/a-ti...

This is horrible to post, but I may as well post it. We are essentially shutting down research operations in my group, which is focused on treatments for pediatric brain cancer. I’m a well funded investigator, and there’s no choice. Science can’t function without the stability of NIH

“Schmidt being “violently interrogated” at Logan Airport for hours, and being stripped naked, put in a cold shower by two officials, and being put back onto a chair.” Whatever happened to #abolishICE? It needs to be abolished. This is torture.

“There’s gonna be a big presence in DC, but it’s not just DC — I want to see this in rural areas, in suburban areas, in urban areas, in red states, purple states, blue states. It’s going to take all of us.” - @ezralevin.bsky.social We’re taking to the streets nationwide on April 5: handsoff2025.com

I feel like we need to form a League of Relatively Normal People, and our agenda should be things like: --Canada's cool, leave them be --Lot of smart people at universities, that's a plus --We're scared of getting cancer, so let's research it --Fewer floods and wildfires would be nice

I really really REALLY wish we didn't have to keep calling, but please keep calling. @amyklobuchar.com @smith.senate.gov, talk to you both soon! Klobuchar: 202 224 3244 Smith: 202 224 5641 #Minnesota

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave. Tell them: 1. Vote NO on Cloture AND 2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill. Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it. TODAY is the showdown. 🤳🏽: (202) 224-3121
