Nothing like losing out on a promotion to one of your subordinates because of vibes. "We just feel he would be a better fit." And what about the 5 more years of experience in the department as well as already being certified to do the job. Met with silence. I was 60% sure I didn't want the job.

Work had me so enraged yesterday that I am going to HR today to issue a formal complaint. Got blindsided with a technical interview in front of 3 upper managers for a position that has never required one with absolutely no notice and after a month of no communication about my first interview.
