I've put some real time into #MHWilds over the last couple of days, and man, it's like riding a monster slaying bicycle. Currently at HR40, and fought some truly hard fights (looking at you Gor). I also like that they have some story focus this time, and I just love the movement

I disagree with Doug Ford on many, if not most issues. He doesn't treat Northern Ontario badly, I think he forgets it exists at all. I'm 100% behind him on what he's been saying for the last few days. I did not vote for the Ontario Conservatives, but gorram, Ford is being an asshole FOR Canada.

Well... It's happened. Trump did not blink, and the tariffs went into effect. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. I'm just worried Canadian retaliatory tariffs will be seen as a provocation, and my southern neighbors decide to do something irrational. #tariff

Had a unifying experience today. Walking through my downtown and a random guy walks up. We're both just going in the same direction, when a cybertruck rolls by. Both of us, independently made rude gestures towards it, and talked about the owner had more cash than brains. Then we went out own ways

Today, I got the chance to do some creative writing. A D&D game opened up, and I needed to build a character for it. Found a few character building questions, and wrote down like... 6 pages of answers to them. It felt good actually creating something. I should do that more often

It feels weird as a Canadian watching the whole Trump thing. It feels like... Watching a next door neighbour hook up with a clearly abusive ex. You want to tell them to stop, but know that jumping in, will only drive them into the ex's arms more.

Man, Digital extremes really hit it out of the park with Warframe 1999. The new ruleset feels great, a mix of urban, and alien's out mall, the enemies are diverse, but understandable, and OMG, that soundtrack. *Chef kiss*

Warframe 1999 comes out today. I have no doubt I'll be running that story quest ASAP, but they also said this expansion is going to have some post quest staying power. Super stoked for it.

I just listened to the original 1939 broadcast of war of the worlds. I'd heard about it from the stories of the panic, but actually listening to it was a blast. Like a 1930s version of modern analog horror. Would strongly recommend.

Depression sucks. It's not feeling sad, it's feeling nothing, and letting that nothing make you not leave bed for 2 days. I made it out of my room to use the bathroom, but that's it.

Ignorance is not bliss. Ignorance is getting blindsided by something. You may not have been able to prevent getting hit, but you can at least know it's coming. I see people say they don't want to hear news, now that things are looking dicey. I think it's better to know even if it's uncomfortable

I visited a local arts and crafts show in my town, and found a piece that just shouted at me. I really should have acted "more responsibly" with my money, but damn... I commissioned a piece on the spot. In about 2-3 weeks, I'll have a new wood burl wood-burning piece for my home.
