I am seeing the occasional mention of "working people" in relation to things like Medicaid and SNAP. No, shut the fuck up. Everyone deserves healthcare and food to eat.

While WIC is not specifically mentioned in the Budget Resolution, a large proportion of participants only qualify for WIC because they have Medicaid. This will be yet another huge blow to pregnant people and children.

I called out of work today because i just didn't feel like trying to work while i'm distracted by my mom trying to plan the funeral. now she's too busy to talk to me so i'm just sitting here wallowing in sadness.

Haven't done a damn thing today except be available for my mom. I feel sad and listless but there's really nothing to be done. My grandma passed away this morning. She had terrible Alzheimer's but my mom took such good care of her for years. So grateful for my mom and sad about my grandma. 💔
