Currently reading One Hundred Years of Solitude and I'm really liking it. I'm glad it's much more readable than Love in the Time of Cholera. Hope everyone is doing well! #BookSky

And then my D&G boss gets ahold of me yesterday and I've got training for their new fragrance with anticipated hours back so let the ambassment begin.

Has anyone else noticed that Ovid's Metamorphoses reads like fan fiction? 💙📚 #BookSky #Books

So Dolce & Gabbana doesn't need its brand ambassadors for Q1 2025 so I've been looking for employment. I found this really cool job that I want so much at a local business as a Financial Assistant. I'm super hopeful and excited that I'm a good match. Next interview is on Wednesday!

The4th book of the year is The Rabbit Hutch. It has stunning purple prose and gorgeous story-telling. Tension builts throughout and culminates at the end as all of our characters learn something new. A brilliant Debut. 4/5 www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

I was totally cool being on linkedin until it suggested that I should follow Jordan Peterson.

I'm pretty sure I'm an 8 today.

Someone at work asked me if I had ever heard of The Weekend. 😕

Is there any sort of "trending" thing on bluesky? Just wondered. It helps me to sort the news by trends because if it's big enough to trend, it's usually big enough for me to care about (as a non-news watcher).

I sort of love how my evaluation of whether or not a social media is worth using is based on what @stephenking.bsky.social thinks about it.

The Hound of the Baskervilles (Sherlock Holmes # 5). 3/5, but not disappointed at all. #booksky www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Brighton Rock by Graham Greene 4/5 stars. Excellent book. www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

A million seconds ago was before Thanskgiving. A billion seconds ago was before Windows 95. I'm looking for other "neat" ways to explain the difference between a million and a billion. Anyone got another?

I hope I remember it this time: Don't eat pizza sticks. They fight back!

Saw this on fb and wanted to share with my literary friends.

Psych med struggle appears to be over. Meanwhile, I'm glad I saved Demon Copperhead for a hectic week. Started it today and I'm loving it so far!

The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels is a fun mystery told through mixed media. I found it completely entertaining. 4/5 stars - www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

My only 5/5 read for the month. I accidentally linked to the book instead of my review. Here's my review: www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Getting used to Bluesky. Posted book reviews for November so far. Currently having a bit of a struggle with my psych meds but I trust it'll be taken care of soon. Having issues sleeping which affects everything. Hope everyone is well!

Tender is the Flesh by Agustina Bazterrica - Translated dystopia about a future world where people rely on human flesh for protein. Horrific, but as a reader I was easily thrown out of the story with continuity error. #books #amreading www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Tender is the Night by F Scott Fitzgerald. 2/5 stars, extremely disappointing considering how much I loved his Beautiful and Damned. #1001challenge #books #amreading www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

Bunny by Mona Awad - 3/5 stars. Marginally brilliant. #books #amreading www.goodreads.com/review/show/...

My cousin married a man named Nathan who has a vague P last name (I think) and it just occured to me that every time I see a cartoon by Nathan Pyle it is NOT my cousin's Nathan, but a different Nathan that has made that cartoon.
