Living proof that a certain background, natural talent, or specialized education are unnecessary for car enthusiasm. Drive old naturally aspirated cars & learn to fix them yourself. Not only is it self-affirming, but you’ll also confound the aristocracy.

The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S is the latest 911 variant to join the updated 992.2-generation lineup. New is a standard active sport exhaust, which was previously optional, and turbos and improved cooling which help push the S's 3.0-liter flat-six to 473 horsepower, a gain of 30 versus 2024.

This morning I read that DeepSeek used training data generated from other language models which has companies like OpenAI fuming, and I can't stop thinking about how there's a lesson in there

Has Nvidia tried pulling itself up by its bootstraps?

Ooops - sell those Nvidia shares quick.

See? This is why I invest in sports cars… not only can I not see (or worry about) what a sports car is worth every day, I also don’t care if someone comes out with a “better” model next year. Oh, and I get to drive my really awesome investment around in the meantime. apple.news/AvjLzDoMmQj2...

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

Waaaaaait? Are you trying to tell me that dealers want to listen to the MARKET?! I thought the job was to dictate to us what kind of cars we wanted. 🤔 I dunno, maybe there are people out there who DON’T need giant SUVs to go to the grocery store and maybe even want (gasp) a manual transmission!

HONDA CIVIC SI review (with beautiful shots from our new drone!) is live! Let’s talk about how great it is, where it fits in the current car market, and its biggest threat: youtu.be/VNd9-OsvLls

What if the push by rich people for us to go green & buy electric is partially just a way for them to get to drive cool cars while companies meet CAFE standards and the rest of us filthy plebes have to drive unreliable, direct-injected sh**boxes that fall apart every few years? 🤔

My single greatest accomplishment at work today… maybe ever… was pulling the valve cover off a BMW in 30 minutes during my lunch break. This was me going back to work:

This is what I try to tell people about hating on “old” cars & ICE vs EVs. If everyone went 0 carbon tomorrow, it would reduce GHG’s by less than 20%. It’s companies doing the polluting. They put the onus on us as a way to keep us fighting among ourselves over irrelevancies.

57 companies are responsible for 80% of global greenhouse gas emissions since 2016. These companies include fossil fuel giants like Chevron, Shell, and BP, who have been raking in record profits. The profits of Big Oil should not be more important than the future of our planet.

For folks who believe stupid things like “gUrLz cAin’T bE cAr pEoPLe!”, I submit to you one of my favorite automotive journalists, Alanis King. She’s fantastic. Cars are great because they don’t care about irrelevant attributes… they’ll let YOU love THEM unconditionally, regardless. Join the club.
