A lovely day (in the warm!) today processing Iron Age, Bronze Age & Roman pottery finds from our summer dig at Rocky Clump. What a lovely bunch of people to spend a Saturday with! So great to be able to see these finds up close and all cleaned up after the dig :)

#FindsFriday These 3 fragments of a decorated Samian bowl were found this summer and fitted together after washing. Samian (or Terra Sigillata) was the most commonly used high quality pottery from Roman Britain. Can anyone tell us anything more about the decoration?
