Eating at airport. Sharing booth with stranger. QR code ordering. Our bills were combined. Asked for them to be split. Server looks to the woman and says you had the wine? Gender stereotypes. I had ordered the wine. Liz was the one who had ordered beer

Saw a misprint in an article about the vote to confirm new FCC member. Listed Fetterman as D-PA. Surely that should be R-PA.

The aftermath of Reconstruction shows the cost of not prosecuting Post war Germany shows why you must do so.

Born in London, so many options I would pick David Bowie Although Elton John is another solid option. Joe Strummer was born in Turkey, so he does not qualify

I went to our neighborhood movie night. I saw “My Cousin Vinny”. I was sure before hand that I must have seen it. But, every moment was fresh and new. So I guess, this was my first time.

On days like this, I almost wish I liked popcorn

Reached Planet of Fire on my rewatch Which is less convincing a) Peri’s American accent b) Turlough is a school boy

The finale would have to be terrible for me to change this opinion: this is the best season of Doctor Who since Capaldi’s last.

RTD is not a writer who writes subtle allegories. But, in the latest episode it worked. One of the villains embracing 1950 trad wife, not seeing disabled people, and reading a book whose cover invoked those of the transphobe who shall not be named.

I have a degree in mathematics, but I understand much of that subject is hard for many others Still, amazed that the GOP lack of numeracy means that the only number they know is Two This based on how they skip 1st amendment, move to 2nd, and ignore the subsequent amendments

It turns out that even sharing wine with my spouse does not dull my anger at what the governments of either my country of birth or residence are doing.

I have no especial attachment to Spurs. But Man Utd losing is always a happy experience So Tottenham finish barely above relegation and yet are in the Champions League next year. Man Utd are not in Europe next year.

I found the Doctor’s actions against Kit to be out of character. This morning I remembered Kate Lethbridge Stewart’s equally violent reaction earlier in the season. I wonder if there will be a better explanation in the season finale.

Went to the cinema yesterday The trailers for coming attractions showed the spirit of originality in Hollywood Fantastic 4 Troy Superman

Without downloading any new pictures, what is your mental state?

My Top 10 Doctors Pertwee Baker, Tom Capaldi Gatwa Martin Tennant Smith McCoy Baker, Colin Troughton But another episode or two like this week’s could push Gatwa up the list

One thing that I love about this week’s Who episode is that it is set outside of the Anglo-Euro-American norm and shows an African city and its people in a positive light.

This week’s episode of Dr Who has been echoing around my mind all day. It did not think it was the best story of the season on watching it, but it is genuine art and I think I shall rewatch it before any of this season’s other episodes.

This season of Doctor Who continues to delight. This story about stories was bizarre (in an entirely positive sense) It invites rewatching.

After three episodes each better than the last, I was expecting an end to the trend. But Lucky Day was excellent, unexpected, and deepening the season mystery.

I thought Lux was excellent. I would have been happy if it was the best story of the season. It is not. The Well was brilliant. Creepy, emotional, intriguing. I enjoyed Ncuti’s first season. This is looking even better Tears of the Doctor
