The local Goodwill here was having a half-off sale but unfortunately the selection was somewhat weak. I did get some very odd pickups regardless.

Finished my recount of Famicom cartridges I currently own and it turns out the count was off by 2. Previously was at 506, it is currently 504. At least the count is still mostly accurate right?

I hope he played his copy of Undertale before passing away today and if you don't know who I am talking about check the news.

It's cool that Nintendo of America uploaded the 1991 Super NES commercial featuring Paul Rudd but they really should have upscaled this to at least 720p so the frame rate would be better. This is already in amazing quality but it could have been even better...

I was reorganizing my Famicom cartridges and came to the realization that I have 5 copies of Pro Yakyuu Family Stadium. 3 are the original and the other 2 are the '87 version that is technically it's own seperate release.

Random hypothetical of FamiWiki being run on the Famicom via Family BASIC. Makes me wonder how many audio cassettes it would take to store the entire website like this lol.

A previously unknown game software cartridge for the Family Computer Network System appeared on Yahoo Auctions last month and sold for ¥162,234 ($1139 US). Communication Go Club (通信囲碁倶楽部) was evidently developed by Konami in 1992 for the Famicom's modem system.

Sometimes when leaving comments I need to remember that things need to be worded clearly or otherwise there will be assumptions like "okay what's your point?" and I dunno I think there's room in comments sections to mention things for the sake of it and aren't that deep. It's just a comment.

My father stopped by a local game store and got a few interesting Famicom items for half-off so don't be alarmed by the price stickers here. The boxed Soccer was a neat surprise and getting another Hect cartridge is appreciated.

I posted this elsewhere a while back but I might as well mention it here as well. In the April 1991 issue of Nintendo Power, they warned readers about importing Japanese Super Famicom consoles. Should note that the Super NES wouldn't launch for another 4 months in August 1991.

Here's my FamiHaul for this week. Managed to get some more Famicom cartridges to knock down. Some very interesting picks this time.

I wish the modern emulators we use today also made it easy to edit sprites but unfortunately that is not the case. It is not nearly as user friendly and often becomes frustrating to change more elaborate sprites. We kind of lost something as a result of it becoming harder.

Just had a thought about the unique ways certain Famicom games saved data outside of the cartridge itself. Has anyone attempted to make a memory card of sorts that can support saving data to things like the Data Recorder or the Turbo File? Something that plugs into the 15-pin expansion port.

Nintendo should re-release Super Mario 3D All-Stars on the Switch 2 and create an Edition that includes Galaxy 2. The only reason I would even want that is to see resellers suffer from trying to charge nearly $100 for the original Switch collection.

Presenting a battle plan to get the Game Boy Camera working on the Nintendo Switch 2. I'm not gonna have one when it launches so if anyone can get something like this going feel free to try it out.

That sure is a plug & play alright.

Goodwill pickups post game convention. Not sure how many odd VHS tapes I'll be able to realistically buy before I run out of room. At least the Spiderman plug & play is cool.

Here's The amazing thing I got at the Kyoto Hard Off out of their junk bin: a carrying case for prototype Famicom Disk System hardware.
