Trump and Musk are for they/them. They're not for you.

Looks like tomorrow will bring votes on a Republican plan to fund tax cuts for the rich by slashing Medicaid. So this is a great time to contact your Member of Congress.

This is fun

“Two sources familiar with the matter, including a Trump administration official, tell Rolling Stone that the replies to the recent Musk OPM email have been flooded with pranks and, in the words of the Trump official, “very rude” emails listing fake, vulgar “accomplishments,”…

This is insane. If you wonder why some of us think the rule of law is about to fall, it's this. The U.S. Attorney for DC is not "President Trump's lawyer" and its job is not to "protect his leadership" nor prosecute people who "refuse to put America first".

A set of countries hates us; another is bewildered/dismayed/horrified; a third group is laughing at us; and the last group is working the angles to fleece us by flattering the weak-minded senile dope who occasionally shows up at the White House to sign stuff. NOBODY respects us.

Here’s a prop bet that I wouldn’t take the other side of: That within two years there’ll be wars over Taiwan and the Baltics. And that the Trump administration will stand blame the Taiwanese and Baltic states for starting the conflicts against their larger neighbors.

Anyway buffoonish hack Ed Martin probably won’t approve charges against right-wingers. So if you’re in DC, deciding what level of force to use against a Trumpist, consider they can kill or assault or rape you without being charged or with the promise of a pardon, and act accordingly.

He’s in denial.

What an absolute shit show. Putin and Xi are laughing hysterically at this crew.

The DC police last week sought to arrest a sitting member of Congress, a Florida Republican, for physically assaulting a woman in DC. But the US attorney’s office didn’t sign off on it. www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/f...

A month ago, every Republican voted in favor of Nancy Mace’s “Preventing Domestic Violence by Illegal Aliens” Act. If you are wondering how many of them are opposed to DV generally vs. how many were just in it for the xenophobia, this is an easy test. www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/f...

We’re about to find out if the “deficit hawks” mean what they say. Because the only way to reconcile massive Trump tax cuts with their stated main priority is to either cut spending enough to crush swing district Rs in 2026, or accept Johnson’s phony numbers on DOGE & tariffs.

“Who would ever sign a thing like this?” -the guy who signed the thing

They just lie all the time.

U.S. Attorneys are not the President’s lawyers. They are the United States’ lawyers. You didn’t pledge an oath to a President, you pledged it to the constitution. This statement alone is reason enough to resign.

United States Attorneys are not "President Trumps' Lawyers" They work for the American people.

I think I’m starting to understand why Trump named Dan Bongino as Deputy Director of the FBI… someone’s gotta live stream the unraveling of the agency!

How many people were going to be fired by Elon's AI? Are we really going to let an untested, unvetted, beta version of Elon's LLM make critical firing and hiring decisions when it comes to the health and safety of our country? This is extremely FUBARED.

The Justice Department is not the president's personal law firm. You are not his lawyers. The free press should be exactly that — free. If the facts they report don’t align with the president’s propaganda, tough. And this statement is a disgrace to the DOJ and the rule of law.

youngkin is term limited for governor but i expect this quote to make the rounds when he tries to run for senate in two years

I predict that the person who will appear most in Democratic ads across the country in federal, state and local races in the 2026 midterm elections will be Elon Musk, and he is going to elect a lot of Democrats and cost many Republican incumbents their seats.

As a consumer of a huge amount of news, social media, podcasts, and alt media across the spectrum from far right to far left every day, I can tell you that I see Sen Chris Murphy everywhere taking on the Trump Admin, including Fox, & there are some Dem senators I never, ever see.

I’d rather not put Spirit Airlines in charge of preventing the next 9/11.

cc: every member of the GOP who is quietly expressing discomfort but afraid of what might happen if they show an ounce of courage.

Dear Europe, Trump completely melts under pushback. So push back.

Fox and Musk can and are trying their best to run cover for Trump. But as this weekend's town halls remind us, there are still places outside of their influence. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Whoever puts this on their list of five things they did this week should get the employee of the year award

"Nothing to see here. Move along."

The right is doing a good job convincing the right that Trump is doing a good job. But as this weekend's town halls showed, there are a lot of other people who very much remain unconvinced. Gift link: wapo.st/3EQUTiR

Tonight in her newsletter, @hcrichardson.bsky.social quoting Maine Senator Angus King telling the Senate to wake up. open.substack.com/pub/heatherc...

Lawyer at Musk’s X warned major ad company: get your clients to spend more on X, or else.  Was a reminder that the ad company’s recently announced merger could be torpedoed, or at least slowed down, by the Trump administration, given Musk’s powerful role in the federal government

This would be more worrisome if Trump had booted a Secretary of Defense because he was reticent to deploy troops against peaceful protesters oh wait

"The pattern we are seeing abroad mimics the pattern we’ve been seeing at home. Trump’s enemies are now the American government’s enemies. There is one standard of justice for friends of Trump and another one for everyone else." www.nytimes.com/2025/02/23/o...

There is no version of what is happening now in Europe that makes America stronger, safer, more respected in the world. Trump is now and always been Russia First. His quislings like Hegseth and Rubio are traitors, and will be known in history that way.

are anyone else’s kids disturbed by the idea of the tooth fairy? my six year old lost a tooth and requested we place it on the counter downstairs because he doesn’t want the tooth fairy to enter his room, and my three year old outright told us to keep the tooth fairy away from her

The official policy of the United States of America is that having values or believing in the rule of law is the equivalent to having a fetish for watching your wife get nailed by a stranger. That’s Trumpism.

Jeffries: "This budget is a betrayal of working-class Americans... We only need 3 House Republicans -- there are 215 Democrats in the House - we only need 3 to stand up on behalf of their constituents, and that is going to be an ongoing effort over these next few days, to identify those individuals"

Elon’s own AI says that he is the biggest propagator of this disinformation on X.

Snowflake MAGA in their feels again.

There is nothing cooler than preventing a democracy from turning into a dictatorship

JD Vance's intervention for AfD not looking all that brilliant right now

If Russia ceases combat operations, the war is over. If Ukraine ceases combat operations, Ukraine is over

Who is the senior most Trump administration official who is NOT an avowed election denier?👀

👑 Jane Fonda with a mic drop "Empathy is not weak or "woke." And, by the way, "woke" just means you give a damn about other people."

This is informative. Thanks
