First, as if anymore evidence is needed, republicans live in a fantasy world where Trump is as trustworthy for medical advice as their doctor. Second, the Axios headline is crazy! No, Trump doesn’t have a “trust issue,” Trump & Co. have a trust issue with Dems. Instead, see #1 and tell that story.

I’m not sure any headline with “Trump and team mull dropping nominee” is *good* news. The next pick will always be just as weird, wild, and stupid. It’s like “oh, you have vegemite, not marmite?” Still nasty.

Am I the only one getting a little tired of the “Bluesky is so great, we’re so nice over here, wow how cool is Bluesky, Bluesky is the best thing.” Alright, calm down, you’re still just a person and this is just a website. The aggrandizing must be a quarter of the posts.

I'd heard about Rumble for a while, but never had a reason to visit the site. Well, I can see why YouTube keeps its audience. These people are scammers and willful scam victims. Lol, I can't even believe people get away with this kind of shit.

I'm interested to see how American foreign policy can change to actually achieve good around the world, and I'm starting with Chomsky's newest book. If I post too many quotes over the next week as I read, forgive me. Four pages in and I already want to post every other sentence.

Roxane Gay is a hero for finally getting NYT to publish something worth reading. "All of us should refuse to pretend that any of this is normal and that these voters are just woefully misunderstood and that if only the Democrats addressed their economic anxiety, they might vote differently."

I incorrectly read the MoD’s handle as “defence eu,” and I thought was weird, but then thought, “actually, that makes sense.” Until the rest of Europe meets 100% of its moral obligations to support Ukraine and defend against aggression, Ukraine is effectively the EU’s defense ministry. Step up, EU.

Misinformation alert: those MAGA folks who defend Hegseth's tattoo as a cross are peddling misinformation. His tattoo of a cross is not why his fellow national guardsmen flagged him as an insider threat. It was for his tattoo "Deus Vult" and the phrase's association with white Christian nationalism.

In response to an article about reporters upset about the Gaetz pick, one conservative commentor: "People [in this community] will read this and still thing [sic] Gaetz was a dumb pick. These nominations are terrifying all the right people." Again, as long as the libs/dems are shaking and crying.

RFK wants to ban food dyes and the conservative sphere loves it. Suddenly, republicans love a government that regulates products for their impact on health. If anyone but Trump picked RFK, they'd riot. But because Trump makes dems/libs angry, it's great. He can do no wrong by them.

Don't let people call it a mandate. The "mandate" from election night is a fiction. With more votes in, Trump won the popular vote by less than 2.7 million, and it keeps shrinking. They are deluded if they think MAGA has an 'unprecedented mandate.' Compared it to 2020: Biden won by 7 million votes.
