Text for both the Oversight and Financial Services parts of the filibuster-proof reconciliation bill are out. Republicans are trying to cut CFPB by 58%. CFPB protects consumers and has directly returned over $20 billion to consumers already and saved them from significantly more in avoided costs.

I hope he is reincarnated as a little roach that someone will step on after being sprayed with roach spray.

RFK is a perfect example of why a non-autistic person shouldn’t be the one leading “autism initiatives” - this is exactly why Autistic People have been begging non-autistic people to stop talking over us and let us lead the way. #ActuallyAutistic

Republicans won’t raise the federal min wage of $7.25 because they Claim it will tank the economy—hasn’t budged since 2009. California raised it to $16.50 statewide, $20/hour for fast food—and in cities like West Hollywood, it’s $19.61. No collapse. No chaos. Just the 4th biggest economy on Earth.

BLUF: DOJ has given federal law enforcement the green light to break into people’s homes without a judicial warrant if they “reasonably believe” someone who is a TdA member lives there. There is no requirement to even verify the TdA issue internally before busting down the doors.

Mark Zuckerberg and his wife, Dr. Priscilla Chan, opened two schools to help communities of color. Now they're closing, and some families wonder if the closures are related to his DEI retrenchment.

Today at least two judges were arrested for acts that are not criminally illegal and a two year old U.S. citizen was kidnapped and shipped to Honduras by ICE, who called it a "deportation." Are we great again yet?

Federal health officials have reversed the decision to fire a few dozen scientists at the FDA’s food-safety labs, and say they are conducting a review to determine if other critical posts were cut.

Funny how the paperwork only matters when it’s a woman or minority voter.

The Justice Department quietly invoked the Alien Enemies Act last month, granting Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents the power to conduct warrantless searches of people’s homes based solely on suspicion that they are “alien enemies.”

Seeing claims about the judge "hiding" the defendant. Read the complaint, folks (written by DOJ). The guy was literally in the public area where the agents were. I guess he got on an elevator before they could get to him. The complaint says after letting the defendant exit she came back to the bench

Judge Hannah Dugan, the Wisconsin judge who was arrested on Friday morning on charges of obstructing immigration enforcement, spent most of her legal career working on behalf of low-income people and marginalized groups. Here's what to know.

So to sum up the Wisconsin arrest issue: ICE didn't have a juridical warrant. They only had an administrative warrant. The DOJ has not convened a grand jury to indict the judge. They only got a criminal complaint before a magistrate judge. This is ridiculous.

Effective May 10, NOAA is gone. NOAA protects food systems, disaster preparation and public health, clean air and portable water When NOAA dies, parts if civil society dies. This is just brutal. We, as a society, are going to suffer incredibly.

How can anyone with a conscience be okay with this?

Thank you to everyone who showed up, good news, the judge has been released!
