Efficiency is not a democratic value. Managerial values are not democratic values. In a “managerial society,” technocrats make decisions on behalf of the masses. The current decisions being made under the guise of efficiency benefit billionaires and corporations at our expense.

In a “managerial society,” technocrats make decisions on behalf of the masses. In this case, one billionaire is making decisions for the rest of us. The decisions made under the guise of efficiency will benefit billionaires and corporations while imposing austerity on the rest of us.
