Fall is the best season, and this it’s a fact! I LOVE 🍁

Difference-in-Differences: A Practitioner's Guide The Dream Team's Perspective Difference-in-Differences (DiD) is arguably the most popular quasi-experimental research design. Its canonical form, with two groups and two periods, is well understood. 🧵 1/ #CausalSky #EconSky

Hello everyone. I'm thinking about continuing my studies in Demography in graduate school. So I would like to ask for recommendations of researchers, institutes and journals in the area that I could follow, please! 😁

Feliz Ano Novo Brasileiro!

I remember the findings of this study in the Psychology of Poverty classes in the course “The Challenge of World Poverty” taught by the professor himself. It was after these classes that I became very interested in the subject.

Hi everyone, it's me here bringing another concern of a young student/researcher. How do/did you manage to study on Saturdays? #EconSky

This reminded me of the study done in India by Dillon et al, 2016 on preschool mathematics. In which the researchers used math games to test children’s math learning (showing results on learning) and how this is dispersed in later years due to the “traditional” curriculum.

🔊 What can history teach us about cash transfers? How have societies used cash transfers through the ages and what role have they played in countries’ development process? Today on VoxDevTalks, Tim Phillips speaks to @ugentilini.bsky.social @WorldBank about his new book: voxdev.org/topic/instit...

Hi guys! I want your honest opinion. Do you think printing articles makes reading easier? Because reading on the computer makes me very sleepy. #EconSky

UPDATED paper by François Gerard, Joana Naritomi and Joana Silva: Cash transfers in Brazil's Bolsa Família programme drove economic gains beyond poverty relief. Each $1 spent generated $1.50 in local economic activity, including increased employment & tax revenues: https://bit.ly/3YzlRS7 (1/7)

A wonderful initiative. It was one of the reasons why I remain a Twitter user. Follow the feed

O Twitter voltou mas eu não sinto mais vontade de utiliza-lo. Toda vez que vou entrar instintivamente eu clico no ícone do Bluesky

A survey of companies from over 150 countries found that the most significant challenge they face in their operations is access to finance. According to other studies, this barrier is even more significant for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). oglobo.globo.com/blogs/miriam...

Tomorrow I will be attending my first conference - The 5th Meeting of the Society of Family and Gender Economics (as an attendee for now). I am very excited!!

Migrating all economists, institutes and others from EconTT to BlueSky would be excellent for young academics at the beginning of their careers who no longer want to use the old Twitter. Because, like it or not, many opportunities are still there, which makes abandoning it completely difficult.

Hi guys! I'm looking for content to learn Latex (other than Overleaf documentation). It can be any type of content. #EconSky

As evidências a respeito do BF contradizem essas falas do candidato! Vários estudos sobre os efeitos do programa apontam que ele não gera redução na oferta de trabalho (o chamado “efeito preguiça”), mas sim reduz o desemprego e a informalidade.

Are you starting to work with #Stata, or would you like to refresh your skills? @boglerl.bsky.social, @lisarogge.bsky.social and I created a self-learning course which is now freely available: economic-analysis-with-stata.uni-goettingen.de #EconSky

A bit late here, but happy and excited to share that I have joined JPAL LAC as a Research Intern working with Olaf Oseguera. I am sure it will be a period of great learning and growth working at the leading global research center for reducing poverty through evidence-based public policies.
