Given the literal definition of deportation is removing a foreigner or noncitizen from the country, we - journalists, media orgs - should probably all stop referring to the ‘deportation’ of a 2 year old US citizen. It’s NOT a deportation. I’m not sure what it is. A kidnapping?

What I love about Trump’s presidencies is that they make it hard to deny racism or misogyny. For example, people argue they have high standards when questioning a Black woman’s Supreme Court candidate’s credentials but then support a falling down, drunk Fox News host to oversee the U.S. military.

Good practical thread. Prepare as best you can. Stock pile survival food & consumables that are critical. If you can, have alternate electric ready. Be prepared for no cell phone. There will be outages. I’ d recommend burner phones that have no social media connection.
