First time using it, and I adore this blue handle by Fiskars, that I got for $0.50 at a second hand craft store. It’s the only X-Acto style knife I’ve ever used that didn’t unscrew while you used it.

My…tests(?) so far. I think I need to make more/different molds for little Mr. Gourdon. Something where his bottom comes out flatter, without the weird fringe from the hot glue I used to hold him down. It was fine for resin, because I could sand him flat, but isn’t great for rubber. #keshi #toys

“The best laid plans of mice and men gang aft agley.” A+ for ambition, but I think it’s and F average. I should have known these two burl molds wouldn’t work well for pouring rubber into. They can be tough with resin because of the opening, so it was all over the second the stream touch the side.

Take Two has been a success. Letting them sit for 24hrs, in the warmest spot I could find, has allowed the rubber to get a lot stronger than it was. Going to try building some stock up, and make some listings in the next week or so. #toy #halloween #art

I picked up this well loved Ohaus gram scale last night, after my digital scale refused to track the Part A pour because the change was too slow. Only downside, this scale is missing the tare assembly. Using physics, I found a single rubber band hung on the end balanced out the paper cup. #science

I cast in polyurethane rubber yesterday; Smoothon Vytaflex 60. This guy was an ideal tester, because his mold is one piece, with no funnels. Love that it’s a 1 to 1 mix, with a long pot life, but that 16 hour cure time is killing me. #arttoys #toys #keshi #halloween
