The whole thread is worth reading, but Murphy elucidates something that often overlooked/ignored by the press because it seems too radical to be true - the MAGA 'intelligentsia' have LITERALLY abandoned democracy. They don't believe in it and have written/spoken extensively about it.

What is astounding here is that the Trump administration doesn't just say, okay, we made an error in deporting this one fellow and here he is back.
