When plotting out the type for the Devil Fruit mini-prints, I use a very simplified version of the cap height and baseline to keep things relatively aligned. Typography calls for a lot of exactitude, esp if you're working professionally, but in my case I let it be a little bit sloppy

Omg this webpage is perfect. visme.co/blog/type-an... "Understanding typography anatomy is important because it provides a framework for designers to learn and implement visual structure, correctly use characteristics of typefaces, and font psychology."

If you're designing your own typeface, the letters within it still need to retain the general anatomy of the letter, so that way they're recognizable even with all of the new decorative shit you're adding to it. Otherwise you can't read it. www.interaction-design.org/literature/t...

My classes in typography were super technical and precise. We used Illustrator and InDesign for a lot of it. However, I still have all of the worksheets they handed out, which gave me the knowledge I use today!!! I'll see if I can dig them out today.

I'll see if I can post a collection of all the typography I did last year. Last year in particular I went crazy with it, especially as I started to draw more inspiration from vintage illustrated advertisements.

The typography in my work is, with two or three exceptions, all hand-drawn, and I never really considered it a strength of mine when I was taking classes for it in college. I've always (and still do) admired typographical design but I hadn't really figured out how to make mine look super nice

Rn my sinuses are hell because Florida seasons are a nightmare zone. You would hate it. I don’t know what it is in particular that I’m allergic to but I hurt my jaw from blowing my nose too hard. And Florida’s allergy seasons are year round

Ouch. I feel this really fucking hard. Also, your grasp of body language is great, especially when she’s rubbing her eyes in the second page

Oh yeah that’s why I said you shouldn’t do what the people online do. Don’t do that. The point is that two Advil II tablets once in a few weeks isn’t even in the same solar system as dosages that would cause issues

I love you Gloria I hope you have a BlueSky account

Yeah I take two Advil a week at MOST, but the Spiders Georg outlier who ate 5000 acetaminophen and died of liver failure has me on pins and needles

My concern is likely overblown but don’t do what the people online do either
