Left AZ after retirement. In nice blue MA on a secluded pond. I believe in separation of church and state, Medicare and equal rights for all, all humans are precious and flummoxed that so many Americans voted for a con man that will strip their rights.

Here are 45 people within the so-called Department of Government Efficiency, a group formed by Elon Musk that has radically upended federal agencies. nyti.ms/4br8OIv

To be clear: Vance and Trump blew this up on purpose. Yet another gift to Putin. Pathetic.

Complete batshit lunacy on the president's Truth Social account. Yes, he really posted this.

What the actual fuck?! America, it’s time to rise. When tyranny becomes law, rebellion becomes duty!

Grifters like Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk are profiting from AZ's universal ESA voucher scheme — opening discriminatory private schools that drain funding from our public schools. Now, the Trump administration is trying to push this same model across the nation 😡

Perfectly captured.

Today from Timothy Snyder, author of On Tyranny: snyder.substack.com/p/the-logic-...

We could have had a competent president, lower drug prices, home buyer assistance, a Cabinet filled with qualified adults and not sociopaths, global respect, and national sovereignty...

Still we rise! Celebrate Black History #BlackHistoryMonth

Absolute insanity. www.reuters.com/world/us/mus...

Well said, Pete Buttigieg

Sen. Schiff presses Kash Patel to look at the Capitol Police officers behind him. Patel doesn't. "I want you to look at them if you can, if you have the courage … and tell them you're proud of what you did. Tell them you're proud that you raised money off of people that assaulted their colleagues."

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it. Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice. But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word. They aren’t firing for a reason.

That didn’t even last a Scaramucci.

Folks have asked for my thoughts on former Senator Menendez getting 11 years. He betrayed public trust. He took bribes in his official capacity, and he obstructed justice. Like anyone else who is guilty of these crimes, he deserves prison.

We are watching Project 2025 come to life. Thankfully, pro-democracy groups are fighting back in the courts and winning. @democracydocket.com's 17-person team tracks these lawsuits so you don't have to. Support their work. www.democracydocket.com/member-me/

Maggie Hassan holding up printed copies of 40 studies on the safety and efficacy of mifepristone is a mic drop moment

How have we even gotten to this point?

Trump has already rescinded his order on the funding freeze. Well oiled machine, my ass.

I hope folks understand what’s happening here. Some in the administration view concentration camps inside the US as *maybe* a bridge too far. So they’re starting with Guantanamo Bay, away from prying eyes and 24/7 coverage.

The January 6 pardons are turning out great.

I wonder how Rep Senator Tim Young is feeling right now. The Revenge Tariffs from Columbia are really bad for our farmers (and also bad for Colombia. 96.7 % of their corn for livestock comes from the USA ) Again I think this ends fast. But it’s interesting www.legistorm.com/stormfeed/vi...

Each time I have sat down to write something since the election, I am bothered by this recurring phrase that I simply cannot get out of my head. So, I am going to just say it out loud: we are on our own. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/we-a...

Excellent post

The most common question I receive is how everyday citizens can help in the fight for democracy. My advice, take the first step, start with something small and see what works for you. Here are ten things all of us can do. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...

On today’s episode of “if Obama” If Obama fired over a dozen inspectors general in the middle of the night, the media would have (appropriately) excoriated him over the illegality and absolutely tanked his approval ratings Trump does it, and CNN calls it a “shakeup” Shameful.

Listening to the mother of former Capitol Police Officer Michael Fanone describing on @joy.msnbc.com how she has been harassed and menaced is making my chest so tight. If your police union hasn’t condemned this conduct if, as a Member of Congress, you’ve condoned these pardons, you are a disgrace.

The White House Financial Disclosure page has been WIPED. The U.S. Office of Government Ethics mandates public financial disclosures for high-level federal officials through the OGE Form 278e promoting transparency and ensuring compliance with the Ethics in Government Act of 1978. SHARE EVERYWHERE!

You know you’re a bad guy when your name evokes negative feelings. Donal J Trump has joined the ranks of Hitler, Stalin, and Satan. Just the sound of his name alone evokes disgust and hatred. Hearing it causes me to cringe. Imagine your name doing that.

We could have had Tim.

Good thing he’s not profiting off the presidency, oh wait ….

Totally this.

Ann Telnaes resigned after the Washington Post editorial page killed her cartoon. It’s worth a share. Big Tech executives are bending the knee to Donald Trump and it’s no surprise why: Billionaires like Jeff Bezos like paying a lower tax rate than a public school teacher.

Trump can’t legally own a firearm, but he’s about to be given the nuclear launch codes. Very normal country we have.

Chapter 5 “On Tyranny” @timothysnyder.bsky.social is for all to remember the obligations of professions. Doctors-Hippocratic Oath to refrain from causing harm or hurt, to prescribe only beneficial treatments. Lawyers-Oath to uphold the Constitution. Police, firemen too We need to hold them to this.

Conservatives are *pissed* about this. I would remind you that Trump awarded Rush fucking Limbaugh a Medal of Freedom. This is simply the universe correcting itself.

What a life, what a legacy. R.I.P president Carter. Not many can claim to be architects of eliminating a neglected tropical disease. I will remember him for his dedication to ending guinea worm and for all the homes built by habitat for humanity. All else are footnotes. www.ajc.com/news/former-...

When The Carter Center began leading the international campaign to eradicate Guinea worm disease in 1986, there were an estimated 3.5 million cases in at least 21 countries in Africa and Asia. Today, that number has been reduced by more than 99.99%. In 2024 so far there have been 7 cases. #legacy

The thing with these "raw water enthusiasts" is they become my problem when I see them as an infectious disease consult for one of these: Salmonella Shigella E coli Cryptosporidiasis Giardia Vibrio Entamoeba Norovirus Why do they come to the hospital when sick? Play stupid games = stupid prizes

Someone shared this with me, and I think it's beautiful. That's what I wish for everyone I love and appreciate in this New Year 2025, that your life is filled with an abundance of real luxuries. ❤️

Can we just fast-forward to 2028?
