Yesterday, private prison company CoreCivic announced that they will reopen a family detention center in Texas. It was previously reported a toddler detained there died due to a lack of medical care. It will detain up to 2,400 people—including children.

On Saturday, 15 Feb., Vancouverites came out to the US Consulate (Thurlow at Pender) to show their outrage over what is happening in the Oval Office and how it affects Canada and many other places in the world. This is planned to be a weekly protest, held every Saturday, 2-3 PM, same location.
