I fear that harm reduction as a sociopolitical ethos is cooked if we can’t sort out intersectionality. For years I’ve added comments like “it’s awesome but it’s very white, which we need to collectively sort out” to my explanations. I should’ve pushed harder and yelled louder the moment I saw it.

Today I celebrated the birthday of Guanyin. I cleaned the garden shrine & statue & placed my small altar platform; showered, brushed my teeth, & put on my lay robe. After opening prayers, I chanted the Heart Sutra & read the Universal Door Chapter, then said closing prayers. Happy day, Guanyin Pusa!
