I'm just about feeling on top of February.

Treating myself after successful day out.

Just had my first echocardiogram (all fine). I don't know why I expected the gel to be slathered on my torso; it just went on the scanner head.

Ely Hospital bus shelter. Seats one.

Sweltering in clothes for last week's weather.

Finished My First Quilt! Started in October so I'm not being as prolific as I appear. I will have the evening off reading a book, then think up next plans.

I went to a make a pair of pyjama bottoms in a day course, and made a pair of pyjama bottoms! They have pockets. I made the pockets.

My First Quilt so nearly done! Tutor came round for an hour to show me the binding. Just the last hand sewing to do but those 80 inches can wait till daylight...

Just finished Roz Kaveney's Rhapsody of Blood series, shelved book 5 with its sisters which was thematically satisfying :-)

Finally got a Kobo account, it's been on my radar for a while. Took a lot of password reset looping from entanglement with an old Rakuten TV account, but it's set up on all my devices. The book I bought isn't out till 1 March so I downloaded a free War and Peace to experiment with :-)

Got two letters from the bank this month. Good news, we're lowering the interest on your credit card account! Bad news, we're lowering the interest on your savings account!

If you see this quote post with a beach photo from your gallery Technically not a beach. Pinholes of the North Sea, from the groynes of Happisburgh beach. Very disappointed with these at the time, but I do like the all over blur which is the sea moving the post the camera is on during exposure.

The sign is now up outside @elainehc.bsky.social’s study. She can now indicate to me either ‘You may enter with tea but be quiet’ or ‘Do not enter, I am in an exam’. Thanks again to @bugshaw.bsky.social for entrusting me with her spare bit of studio kit.

Cut the pieces to finish this cot quilt. Started laying them out - and I'd miscounted. Cut more pieces to finish this cot quilt. Laid them out. Started sewing them up - and I'd cut the width right but they're still 1/2" too long. Cut the pieces again to finish this cot quilt...

Got a cab into town for a concert. The taxi's route map app knows Mill Road bridge is closed and frantically tried to route him away. But he knew taxis are permitted over the bridge so I got to watch the app get more and more panicked till we were magically the other side.

Ha ha ha - got new terms for the car breakdown cover offered with the bank account. I wonder what people have been using it for so they need to specify "only provide the breakdown service in emergencies... You wouldn't be able to use the service if, for example... The radio malfunctions"

Fantastic, that's a great job. I would never have thought of putting in a USB charger :-)

This has been a week for checking bus timetables and finding they go once an hour and get me to the place 5 minutes late. (waves at the 18 to Grantchester and the direct bus from Ely rail station to the hospital)

Texting someone about Quilt Class and why I feel bad about not going to it and accidentally called it Guilt Class.

I could do with a form of "you" that refers to "you, the organisation", not "you, the person". "You called me about this an hour ago." "No I didn't, that wasn't me." "You the hospital called about the appointment"

Bridget Jones: The Sky's The Limit. Does Bridget stay down to earth with Toby, or does she go off into space where the Clangers at least appreciate a blue string pudding?

Toby singing along to "I feel love". I move Rula the cat so I can get my feet on the sofa. Rula sings "I feel betrayed".

I still miss the Spud-U-Like cheese apple and celery potato.
