the one upside of rufo gasping about "butthole lasers" is proof that if cis women talked in detail about laser hair removal & other routine beauty maintenance, you could stop a man's heart at 40 paces.

people on Bluesky: good information, thoughtful commentary, journalism me: what if I posted on BOTH platforms, but I only repeat my WORST tweets

accidentally sabotaging the bene gessserit from the inside by being so chronically single, so canonically dripless the space marquis keeps trying to send me back. (I said his agricultural policy was anemic.)

what is it like when your younger brother gets married and has kids? he plops the almost 1-yr old on the roomba & says "see, the baby is too big now, it won't move."

Hey man they made it where you can call whatever whatever now. You're finally free to say as much as you want as long as it's absolutely nothing. They found a cure for caring it's when meaning disintegrates the instant words tumble out of your mouth. No, nobody asked for it

The fun thing about America having centuries of unbroken institutional legitimacy is that the President can publicly say "I am doing a coup, illegally, in order to break the law for my own benefit" and 95% of people on both sides will say, "Oh no, he's not, that'd be crazy."

something about the creaking shuddering pre-corpse of RFK Jr. says this man has never felt even a GHOST of a whisper of hypochondria in his life. what must that be like, so visibly ill yet so free of its chill vapor.

omgosh I didn't realize that a young Paul Eddington was in the first episode of The Prisoner! gosh what an amazing series

This is precisely why journalists should not be casting Trump and RFK as crusaders against Big Pharma. What they object to is regulation and consumer protection, i.e. they want to make it easier for corporations to poison and lie to us.

Now is not the time to be a silly goose. We need serious geese, grave and sober geese that understand the gravity of our moment. We need hard geese, willing to do what must be done. We need geese of history.

*giving a sweaty post-game interview after running to the grocery store on Super Bowl Sunday* "well, we just kept our heads down, got to work. yes it was a setback that they were out of Frank's Red Hot, but we decided to make that buffalo chicken dip later so the lil smokies & burritos carried us!"

the relationship between "you can just do things!!" & "I've gone and done it this time" is SO much closer than anyone wants to believe
