Why I love math ed community on social media!

Any application projects or lessons you do with logarithms at the algebra 2 level? I do a lit of real world with exponential but my log unit is so dry and abstract. Ideas? 💡Resources?

My new work mug arrived! 😃😆

Anyone have a favorite article (or other resource) for thinking about QUESTIONING in a lesson? (As in: asking good questions to uncover or push student thinking) Trying to support some teachers with more resources. #MTBoS #iteachmath

Great question. As department chair, I would love to facilitate this. Ideas? 💡 Success stories?

Saw a fun “Capture the Flag” review game in a class today. Students got to go steal a flag from another group every time they got a question right. But at the end, the point value of the flags was revealed. Ss reactions were hilarious!

Not what I usually wake up to in south TX!

Inquiring minds want to know --HS teachers: how much are your semester finals weighted in the semester average?

Loved doing this when I taught Algebra 1. Great way to get students to connect points on the line with the equation.

Woohoo! Love when I find a new to me approach to introducing a concept. 😍
