This Reddish Egret was putting on a show. My husband always knows he's going to get a nap in the car when I find one of these characters in a good spot, because I'm going to be occupied for a while. #birds

Happy New Year! I was able to get 104 species on my Jan. 1 Big Day. My favorite sighting of the day was probably this family of Sandhill Cranes (2 adults w/ their 2 progeny from last year) who decided to celebrate the New Year by beginning work on the next batch of babies. #birds

An extremely rare (vagrant) Snow Bunting is hanging out in Brevard County, FL and is attracting tons of visitors. I felt bad being one of them, but he seemed generally unbothered as long as we all kept our distance. What a beautiful bird. #birds
