Peanut Butter Cup Confessions Serves two. One glass, two straws, no judgment.

“The sky doesn’t ask for permission to be itself. It goes from blue to pink to white and no one says a word. No one’s over here like, ‘Wait, aren’t you supposed to be blue?’ It just does its thing, and no one cares. And here we are, totally mesmerized by it.” “…Are we still talking about the sky?”

“You can tell a lot about a person by the kind of rice they keep in their kitchen.” “Oh, not this again.” “Jasmine rice. A little indulgent. Loves a good takeout night. Probably has a ‘special’ chili oil they swear by.”

POV: You just realized the weekend is basically over.

Maybe we should kiss at the anti-oligarchy tour.

“You ever look up the price of Walden? Some used hardcover editions are going for over $100. I saw one for three grand.” “For a book that basically says ‘stop buying stuff’?” “I guess we found a way to monetize existentialism.”

“Made you breakfast.” “Mmm?” “Eggs, toast. Even cut up one of those fancy oranges you like.” A glance. “You trying to make up for something?” “Nah. Some mornings feel too honest to sleep through.” “Stay a while?” “Yeah. I think I will.”

“Daylight saving time is Sunday. Finally, golden hour at a reasonable time, like the world is adjusting to my schedule.”

"Remember 2015? Obergefell, #LoveWins? The White House lit up in rainbow colors, couples everywhere tying the knot. Now, it’s like…" "Exhaustion. And they know it."

You ever turn a page too fast and have to flip back real quick like, wait, what just happened? Yeah. That, but life.

Some are working today. I simply am not.

Valentine’s Day. It’s that Hallmark-card moment, but not in the least G-rated. A slow poem between sips of wine, that devious look no one else caught, the way she always gets the door for you and pulls you in when your song comes on.

“What can I do?” Pay attention. Ask. Push for accountability. Brands may not always make direct statements, but their actions—overt or subtle—reveal where they stand. Small acts of awareness, support, and solidarity matter. www.instagram.com/p/DFoRdE2SE8...
