Arrival back in Brazil: T minus 1 week.

Finished the peer review of two grant applications today. Do I get a cookie?

Today two out of three animals passed their physical exam for next week's travel. The third one (our easily scared cat) is hiding in the attic and doesn't want to see the vet. Off to the supermarket to get some tuna hoping to lure her out of hiding.

I cannot start to describe how much this moving business is triggering my anxiety.

Suitcase 1 of 6 is packed.

Setback during our moving efforts. Looks like I won't be able to bring my #fatbike along. Somehow we misjudged its size. I have one week to find a solution.

Tonight's Tales from the Loop session will be the first in almost 4 months. *Sigh* #ttrpg

Daughter's bedroom cleared out and ready to pack. #IHateMoving

We had planned to hike up Le Reculet in the Jura today but the weather does not really play along. Back to packing suitcases then.

Morning walk with the dog. #MontBlanc

Just finished Brandon Sanderson's The Way of Kings. Slow start, strong ending. Do I continue with book 2?

Went to an event at my daughter's school yesterday. Met the math teacher who's wearing a t-shirt that read 'Think like a proton - stay positive '. Immediately connected. #sciencenerds

Oh well, tonight's the seventh session and we will definitely finish the adventure. This might be the longest oneshot or shortest campaign we've ever played. #ttrpg

I gave in and ordered a copy. Not sure when I'll get to it. Probably not before we get back to Brazil in two weeks.

Didn't feel like going on this hike yesterday but I'm glad I went.

Invited to a hike next to Annecy today. Why do I feel like crap?

Arrival back in Brazil: T minus 3 weeks. Still so much stuff to get rid off... youtu.be/F2Q_4rm8SVI?...

Coffee maker is broken. Whyyyyy?

I should have ordered a copy when there's still time.

Will need to ask my RPG group if they would like to play WH40k.

Looks like we finally sold our car. Yeah! What a stressful experience!

Evening walk with the dog under an almost full moon.

Well, that didn't work out. Will have another chance tomorrow.

Potential buyer will check out our car this afternoon. Keep your fingers crossed that they like it.

After five sessions our Call of Cthulhu "one shot" might finally come to an end tonight. #TTRPG

Arrival back in Brazil: T minus 4 weeks.

It's a cloudy and gray day today. With temperatures around 0C the dog is all curled up.

Woke up feeling dizzy. What's that all about?

Thinking about all my games that are currently still in storage until we go back next month. Wondering how many have survived the last two years...

From my Facebook memories. My very first star trails picture. Some 80 images @ 8 seconds, stacked with SiriL.

A word with CERN’s next Director-General Mark Thomson sat down with the Courier to talk about the future of particle physics cerncourier.com/a/a-word-wit...

Started selling our stuff that we can't bring back to Brazil. #mixedfeelings

Despite its problematic theme I'm intrigued. Anyone out there who has played this game? Especially the solo variant?

With no more games in the house the weekends became quite boring. *Must hesitate to buy anything new.*

Returning to Brazil. T minus 5 weeks.

Thursday is Call of Cthulhu day. Looking forward to tonight's #TTRPG round.

From fundamental physics to sparking entrepreneurship: seven ways CERN and ESA are working together to further fundamental exploration and #innovation in space technologies cerncourier.com/a/cern-and-e...

One of my all-time favorites.

Will have another 11pm zoom call tonight. There goes an efficient Wednesday.

Finished Silo, season 2. Not sure what to think about it. I wish all episodes had the pace of episode 10.

First snowboard lesson with the Little One: check!

#TTRPG night tonight. But I'm so tired.

Have you ever seen light collide? In very rare collisions at the #LHC, we can see photons collide, and this helps CMS test the #quantum part of electromagnetism, search for new particles, and so much more! Read more here: cms.cern/news/large-p... #physics #physicsnews @cern.bsky.social #CERN
