Instagram is a Nazi platform.

So the ‘J. D.’ stands for ‘Jumped-up Dickhead’, right?

@alinaisyou.bsky.social Hey, if you and @shadowtodd.bsky.social are looking for a guest for the upcoming Prince vs. MJ Song vs. Song, I have covered both artists extensively on my YouTube channel and have been a big fan of your show for years so would be a lot of fun. Would love to be considered.

Kendrick’s performance was probably in the top five half-time shows but I was expecting a bit more controversy. Stage presence for days, great setlist and fantastic choreography but just a little too safe.

Why Specsavers never did an ‘I Want Your Specs’ campaign with George Michael remains life’s greatest mystery.

Fuck your deluxe editions, real artists don’t coast.

In preparation for this year’s episode which will be out early next week, why not catch our AOTY video for 2023 and subscribe to the YouTube channel for more music discussion content in the meantime!

Quite like the new Weeknd album on a first listen. Could have done with being a good few tracks shorter though.

The Cac is coming back! #aoty2024 #comingsoon

Neil Kulkarni left us a year ago. He ripped through the music press like a benevolent hurricane, laid waste to monumental mediocrities but never punched down. He was fired by a raging sense of inclusivity, the belief that things could, should be so much radically better for everyone. Sorely missed.

Our first video of 2025 is here! Find out what Dan was listening to in 2024 - both new and old.

The Cac is back for '25! Join Dan Whitell as he runs down though his Apple Music Replay for the entirety of the last fifty-two weeks before a deeper look into his most-played songs that were released in 2024. No prizes for guessing who the most played artist was...

Thank you, David Lynch. That gum you like is going to come back in style. www.theguardian.com/film/2025/ja...

In this age of early 2000s nostalgia, I hope as a society we’ve made sure the likes of David Guetta, Bebe Rexha, Charlie Puth and Megan Trainor have been kept well away from hearing either of those Eamon and Frankee singles. Is it me or did it just get cold in here?

If I truly believed in New Year’s Resolutions it’d be to listen to ‘Turbo Diesel’ by Albert One every morning next year. If I have to do it at the gym occasionally it’s just bonus limb points.

The biggest disappointment of the year is probably the announcement of The Weeknd’s movie and it not being called ‘Weeknd at Bernie’s’.

It’s not Christmas until Bootsy Collins sings ‘Christmas Is 4 Ever’, baby.

Now that the wrapped and replay posts are here, how does our 2024 video measure up with your favourite tunes? There will be a follow up coming very soon so stay tuned for Dan’s Apple Music Replay coverage in the next few days.

Do you think Oasis should go to Rock Jail? This could be the video for you - featuring knowledge from the one and only @davidstubbs.bsky.social!

Hot take. Faith No More were a better band with Chuck Mosley. Mike Patton’s a phenomenal vocalist but Mosley’s offbeat delivery was fair more suited to their funk metal style.

‘Deface the Music’ by Utopia is the best Britpop album by an American artist in 1980.

Jumping on the Bluesky bandwagon! What can I offer ya? I make various types of music-related content on YouTube. Can I present you seven slammin’ Donny Hathaway soul songs you should definitely hear as a little taster?
