Adam Jentleson once berated me in a room full of his colleagues because I had an accurate story he didn't want to confirm to me because he didn't like how I would frame it and screamed that I couldn't possibly know what he knows and that my career would be over if I ran with it. Get over yourself.

My favorite NYT story is how they couldn't reliably deliver the paper to my parents after I bought them a gift subscription many years ago. I called 3 or 4 times and they were always like, "sorry we can't figure out this complicated process of sending papers to addresses!" So I cancelled it.
