Increasingly feels like the story of our age: The comfortable and bored affluent, in a degrading media environment, opting for chaos just to feel something. Not the whole story, but certainly part of it.

Kinda curious how/where creative folks here in the UK, are watching the new medical drama The Pitt? Surely they wouldn't be pirating, would they?

Imagine if Broccoli and Wilson took a huge chunk of their billion dollar payout and invested it into the UK film industry. The amount of home grown films they could finance and produce. How many careers they could start and sustain. Could be an even greater legacy than Bond.

I know you'll have a good time with this @cromfourwinds.bsky.social

My guess? Tom Holland as Bond. He once told Sony producer Amy Pascal that he wanted to do the role (which in turn led him to being cast in Uncharted). Holland has a relationship with the Russo Bros. They have a spy franchise at Amazon. Amazon relaunches Bond with Holland and the Russos directing.

Lets face it -- the next Bond is gonna come down to which candidate has the most Instagram followers.

This is fucking terrible.

1 in 38 chance... doesn't sound good.

They're always telling on themselves.

This looks good. But did some producer write on a board "Brokeback but for bisexuals" ? www.youtube.com/watch?v=2MW1...

He's said to be the smartest guy, but you'd think he'd know by all the school shootings, that kids aren't kevlar.

This is how you stay on brand. First a ski lift thriller, now a hot air balloon thriller. deadline.com/2025/02/inan...

Always astonished to see writers spending over $3000+ on evaluations for a single script. And for what? A shout out on social media.

There's a lot of buzz about this one. deadline.com/2025/02/hive...

I can certainly understand this attitude with high profile films and shows. The big IPs. The mega franchises etc -- no spoilers leaked, gotta keep who is returning secret etc. But there's people behaving this way for ITV's Vera.

What British film do we have this year that will appeal to mass audiences? Is it someone writing hate mail to Olivia Colman in the time period of a Hovis Ad? Nope, it's an origin story of *checks notes* Richard Burton. Still got that Hovis Ad time period though. Grandads are gonna love it.

With these 3 blockbusters wanting your money this July, I think it's smart they decided to give each main character a super cute sidekick.

Let me get this straight. These guys have essentially taken control of the US government's money... and they have Blackwater (now called Triple Canopy) mercs protecting them?

We shoulda celebrated this more. What a riot. Loved the world building and the energy it brought. The action's fantastic. It's incredibly funny too. Andrew Koji (Warrior, Black Doves) showing off his range. Skarsgard committing to the action but also delivering a deeply comedic performance too.
